Current trustees
ecruitment and appointment of trustees
All of the group's trustees are appointed or reappointed by the members at our
annual general meeting in accordance with our constitution. The Annual General
Meeting is usually held in December each year.
Governing document
The charity is constituted as an unincorporate(l association. The purposes and
administration of the charity are set out in our constitution.
Charitable purposes
Our purposes, as recorded in our constitution, which is the provision of free of
charge facilities in the local community for recreational and educational purposes.
Artlvities and achievements
The charity continues the ongoing upkeep and promotion of the hall for local use
including ensuring the regular maintenance and cleaning. The charity also held
fundraising events throughout the year to ensure adequate funds.
Trustee remuneration and expenses
The trustees did not receive any remuneration or expenses during the year.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Laxdale Community
Association
I report on the affounts of the charity for the year ended 28 February 2023 which
are set out on pages 3 to 4.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees a￿ responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act
2005 C'the 2005 Act,? and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as
amended) C'the 2006 Regulations,?. The charity's trustees consider that the audit
requirement of Regulation 10{I)(d} of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. It is my
responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section H(l)(c) of the 2005
Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examinerfs statement
My examination is carried out in accordan￿ with Regulation 11 of the 2006
Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the
charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also
Includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosu￿$ in the accounts, and seeks
explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures
undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and,
consequentlyi I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent examiner's statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:_
l. whlch gives me reasonable cause to believe that In any material respect the
quirements:.
to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1)(a) of the 2005
Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Regulations, and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting ￿CordS and comply
with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Regulations have not been met, or
2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
understsnding of the accounts to be reached.
