Holy Trinity Church
Apaft frotn the regular prograrnm8 01 worship. there is an extensive programmè of èvènts in the church,
under the auspices of the Hoty Trlnity St Andrews Trust, including C￿Certs gwen by p￿StI910uS group5 such
as the Scottish Chamber Orchestra an¢ a wide range ol community 8venls.
The church hosts university and school cafol seNicès as well as a number ot important community events
such as the Remembrance Servi￿ and the R&A wlf serv¢e in Sepkmber. In surnrnary. the church has a
significant part in th• lifa of St Andrews.
The HBII
The Hall is fully used by a WKJè variw ol organisations.
There is a 5-year agreement with The St Andrews Free Church for use of the large hall every Sunday for
b¥0 worship Se￿￿$ and the small hall on Thursday evenings in term-lime foi sludenl Sludy.
Pilgdm Care have been a welcome addition as a user of the HJI. Pilgrim Care provide Christian care
facilities and pastoral ¢are support for thè ekjerty in th8 St Andr8W5 area.
Congregational groups i￿lUde Little Ch8rubs lod(Jler group and fortnKJMly (3uild me8tings take place
t￿￿88n September and April. A Family Movie night is h81d every second Saturday in the rnonth arKt Is well

The HalL% are still exlrem8ly popular with the Sludeni soci8ti8s'. regular we&kly groups like jujitsu, Sant sport
& the Caledonian dancers and society balls, dances, socids aTha lood events takè ￿ac+ in term tirre with
around 25 weekend ceilidh's a year.
Community use at thè halls includ8 Zumba, dance fit classes, yoga and adum art and drawing class88. St.
Andrews Chorus host b¥0 ¢offee mornivJs a year on a Salurday rnoming. Sadly the Scoth"sh Dancers were
a notable abs8nc8 last summer but W8 hope to wel¢ome them back In 2025.

The Pastoral Care GtOUP 45 ably 18d by Mrs Janie and continues to provide support and fellowship.
The group work with distr￿ elders and the tninister continu8d to meet the pastoral needs of the
congr8oation with home doorsiep wsrting anil suwort, especially lo the eld8rly and housebound. Informal
pastoral care is also available by 1818phone, Use ol WhaisApp messaging and the Sending of 8ncouraging

the Finance Committee on a day-lo-day basis. expenditure is closely monitored.

The Iruste8s have previously adopted a balanced risk approach airned al produciro a compeb'tive level of
Incotne whilst protecting the capital inv8sled. The church still has substantial resourcas, both in PrO￿ty and
those invgsted In the Church of s￿liand Income and Growth Funds wh￿h provide the trustees with
professional rnanagement, continuous portlolio supervision and a Spread of i￿eStment risk and economies
of scale. Ethical concerns are also addressed by the investment managers who do not invest in any
cornpanies whos? management practices ale judg8d to b8 unacc8Ptable or whose business is substantkqlly
involved in gambling, tobacco products, al¢ohol. armaments or other activities harmful to SOCi8ty. The
underlying value of Ihe investments ha5 incr8ased ty £34.13412023- £34,5001-

Sustainab￿ levd of expenditure commensurate with the level ot itTrcorDe of the church. Holy Trinity Tnjsl has
been most suceosslul in attractirvJ conc8rts and events wh¢h have generated considerabl8 incom8 for th8
church. There are ambrtious plans for further dèvelopment of this, coupled with the fad Ihat Ihe chuich is
now b8ing publieis8d as an important part of the Fite PilgrirD way. The members of Holy Trinity Trust arg to

The trustees consider the variabilty ot investment returns from the porlfolio to be a major financial risk.
This risk is mitigated by the appointment of expert professional advisers with Considerable experiencg in th
charity sector. This a￿lDn provides a cost-otteciive management and as*51s in providing a predictable level
ol income to coniribute to the prograrn￿ of charitable actniilies of the congregation.
