To provide an entertaining and informative radio service for Crosshouse Hospital and it's wider connected community
Objectives: 2.1 The relief of those in need through the provision of a hospital radio broadcasting service to improve the welfare and wellbeing of patients and the wider hospital community at University Hospital Crosshouse. The activities of the organisation shall also include the provision of a radio broadcasting service to a wider audience in the United Kingdom and overseas. These activities are in no way restrictive of the powers of the organisation to carry out such voluntary work as may be from time to time agreed by them with hospital managers. In addition to the foregoing activities the organisation may raise funds and invite and collect contributions from any person or persons. 2.2 The provision and organisation of recreational facilities in the form of a radio broadcasting service with the object of improving the conditions and quality of life for patients, for example through an improved sense of wellbeing leading improved mental health. social inclusion, continuity of contact between patient family through the provision of an on line radio service and the provision of real time interaction/connection between patient and family through the provision of a real time on line radio service and wider community of University Hospital Crosshouse and wider broadcasting audience in the United Kingdom and overseas 2.3 The advancement of education through training volunteers in a range of skills including I. T. . broadcasting. public speaking. communication skills, a number of transferable skills. transferrable skills improving employability. 2.4 The advancement of education through inviting school groups, adult learning and other such groups to experience participating in training and broadcast sessions. Where possible HBSA will seek to make connections with local organisations to allow this to happen.
