Charitable Purposes
Thc Charitable Trust was established to hold funds in trust and to make charitable payments to thc
University of Glasgow for the purpose of research and for the advancement of knowledge in the field
of electrical engineering.
The said university is entitled to Use and apply the pairynents for such research in any way and every
way which the said university in its uncontrolled discretion shall from time to time think proper and
reasonable.
Activities and achievements
During the year under review the trust made payments totAlling £6,200 to the University of Glasgow.
Trustee remllneration and expenses
Legal costs for administering the trust were paid to Mactaggart & Co. solicitors with which the
Trustees has a business connection. F.A.S. Duncan is a director.
Reserves
At the end of the year Mactaggart & Co. held a balance of £6,358.32 and Rathbones h¢ld x net
balance of £2,753.62 over and above the portfolio valuation.

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Mrs J C Draper Trust

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 05 April 2026 which are set out on pagcs 2 to 3.
Respective responsibilitie5 of trustees and examiner
The charity's trllstees arc responsible for the prepaTation of the accounts in accordance with tbe terms of the
Charities and Trustce Investment (Scotlané) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Rcglllations 2006.
The charity tntstees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation l O(1 ) (d) of thc Accounts Regulations
does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act
and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of findependent examiner's Statement
My examination is Carried out tn accordance with Regulation I l of the Charities Accounts (Scotland)
Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those record5. It also includes consideration of any unusual iterns or
disclosures in the accounts, and sccks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters.
procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit. and con5cquently I do
not express an audit opinion on tbc view given by the accounts.
Independent exarniner's statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention
. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006
Accounts Regulations, and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006
Accounts Regulations
have not been met. or
2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the
accounts to be reached.
