Aeeounting Policies
The principal ac¢oviiting policies, wliich have been applied consistently in the CUiTerAt and
prec¢ding yeai. in dealing with items which al'e ¢onsidered material to the accounts, ale set
out btlow.
Basis of preparatioll
The accounts have been pi'epared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Cliarities..
Statement of Reconllnended PL'actic¢ applicable to chaiities preparing theii accounts in
aecoi-dan¢e with the Financial Reportiiig Standai'ds applicable in the UK and Repiibli¢ of
IIElaiid {FRS102) issued on 16 July 2015, the Chai'itie% and Ti'l￿tee liivestment (Scotland)
Act 2005 and the Chaiitics Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as ￿nended)
Funds
Funds are classified as eithei. i'ests'icted funds oi. unrestLlCted funds, defined as follows.
RestrACted fuiids are funds subject to specif5¢ r¢quii'ements as to their use wlii¢h may be
declai'ed by the doiioi. or witli Iheii. authority or created thL'ough legal piocesses, bul still
withiii the widei objects of the ¢harity.
Endowment fiinds are ￿ndS which Iiave been given on the condilion that the original capital
sum is not reduced, but the income thei'efi'om is used for the pU￿Ose defined in awoi'dcince
witli the objects of the Ch￿'ItY. Unconditional beque8ts are treated as endowmenls until their
allocation is deteiinin¢d by the T1￿$t¢eS in line wilh llie Lharity's puryioses
Ui]restTlCtcd fijnds ￿'e ¢xpendable at the disci'etion of the trustees in furthe17nce of the
objects of the Ch￿-ltY. If parts of the um'esti'icted funds al'e eaiinarkcd at the discLetion of the
stees for ti pgtttkculai. purpose, they al'e designated as a sepai'ate ￿nd. This designation I
an adniinistiative p￿.pOSe only and does not legally iestrict the tswtees, discretion to apply
the fund.
Incoming resouj'ees
Income is i'ecognised when the cliarity has entLtlernent to the funds, any perfoi'mance
conditions attached to the item(s) of incom¢ have been met, it is probable that the income will
be i'eceived and the amount can be measwed relkably.
Dollated services and facilitics
Donated pmfessional services and donated facilities al'e iecognised as inconie when the
cliarity has control over the item, any conditions associated with the donated it¢m have been
mel, the receipt of economic benefit from the use by the charity of the item is probable and
that economic ben¢fit can be measiired reliably. In accoTdance with the Cliarities SORP
{FRS102) the general volunteei time of congregation members is not recognised.
On i'eceipt, donated pi'ofessioiial sei'vices and donated facilities are recognised on the basis of
the value of the gift to the charity wliich is the amount the Charity would Iiave b¢¢n wtlling to
pay to obtain seivibes oi. facilities of equivalent ecoiioinic beiiefit on the open market. a
con'esponding amount is then i'ecognised as expendituie iii the period of receipt.

Tangible fixed assets
The chai'ity has the right to occupy and use for its charitable objects cei'lain tangible fixed
