Governing Docum¢nL
Achnacarry Church is govemed by the Feu Charter dated 3]￿ May 1910 by Captain D,W.
Cameron of Lochiel in favour of the Trustees of the Church at Achnacarry. The Charter sets out
the composition and succession of the Trustees. The Charter allows only for the erection and
use of one Church for the benefit of Ihe local people of the Achnacarry area and surrounds.
The Charter sels out how the ministry of the Church shall be managed. The Charter sets out
how the Trustees shall act, how their actions shall be minuted and how the finances shall be
managed. No amendments to the Feu Charter of 1910 are known or recorded.
Trustee AppolntmenL
The Trustees shall comprise.,
The incumbent proprietor of the Estate of Lochiel, if willing and able.
The incumbent Minister of the Parish of Kilmallie, if willing and able.
Three other persons as may from time to time be appointed. Such appointees fflay serve for a
period of three years, but may be reolected.
Trustees may be elected by majority vote al a meeting of members of the Church and shall at
all times be five or more in number.
Sandy Fleming was proposed as a Trustee in August 2025 and all Trustees supported this
nomination.
Charitabl• Purpose.
Achnacarry Church exists to allow for the practice and adVan￿rnent of religion.
Policy on reserves.
Achnacarry Church has no regular income and minimal regular outgoings. Reserves are
maintained by restricting outgoings through use of volunleer inpuls at little or no cost, and by
application to a variety of funding sources as and when the need for additional funding arises.

Summary of actlvities and achieveménts for the year.
Services,. no regular services were héld during the year. An Easter service was held on Good Friday,
well attended, and led by Rev. Euan D¢￿IdS and accompanied by Rachel Walker. Falher Paul of St
Andrews Church led a thanksgiving service in October and Bill Skene led the Christmas Se￿ICe. All
seNices were enjoyed by a good tumout of folk. Ilve are grateful to all involved for these well attended
and enjoyable services.
Flnanc6', the accounts for the year were circulated. having been scrutinised by Jan Moncrieff, thanks to
Jan for this. Income was £1417. including £250 donation from Jennifer Ogilvy Fund and £265 power
outage compensation from SSE. Expenditure was £561 including insurance {£1201. and electricity
(£322) The Darlingion Building So¢iety Account was closed and a saving$ account opened with Bank
of Scotland. Year-end fvJures show £5722 in the Bos currenl account and £14922 in the Bos savings
account. Noted that th8 electricily cost this year was high due to EDF recouping payments for
consumption from October 2024 to March 2025 that they had failed to invoice. Anticipated minimum
expenditure for the 2026127 year will be £130 for insurance and £300 for electrictty ,' income will be
minimal, maybe £400 from ad hoc donations and offerings, without further donationslgrants. The￿ is
potential to break even on basic income and expenditure.
Fabrlc. the church fabric remains s*isfactory. No significant works were required or ￿rned out this
year. Gutters and downpipes hava been keo clear, and bracken and rhododendron removals continue
around the church.
Vl3ltors,' Visitors continue to show their apprecialK)n for the church belng open and accessible.
