Structure Governance & Management

Constitution

The Charity is an unincorporated association. It is governed by its constitution.

Appointment of Trustees

The management committee, which normally meets on bi-monthly basis, are the charity’s trustees. Membership of the management committee is open to all local residents and affiliated club representatives.

Trustees are elected at the Annual General Meeting which is normally held in August. Under the constitution, there must be a minimum of 6 committee members at any meeting.

Objectives & Activities

Charitable purpose and objective

The purpose of the Committee shall be to manage and maintain St. Margaret’s Hall, Lunanhead and park for the benefit of inhabitants of the Lunanhead and surrounding area, including use for meetings, recreation and classes with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Financial Review

Income increased this year due to increased use of the hall, having attracted two new users/groups. We held a successful Christmas Light Switch On Night, a Bingo Tea at the Legion and a Ladies Night in our own hall, in total raising just over £1300.

Expenditure decreased, new contracts with Energy providers with lower rates reduced costs significantly. With reduced usage of the hall, we reduced our wage bill with less cleaning required.

Overall for the year we sustained a loss of £642.24, this loss has been absorbed by our general funds leaving a healthy balance (bank/cash/stock) of £17,444.33.

Plans for Future Periods

The trustees/committee intend to continue and develop the hall and park to provide benefit to the local community and users. We are actively looking for new clubs/uses for the hall to increase rental income.

Approved by the trustees on 9th September at our Annual General Meeting and signed on their behalf by:
