Governing Document
The Church is administered in accordance with the terms of 8 Unitary Constitution.
Recruitment & Appointmeut of Trn8tee8
Members of the Kirk Session Are the Charity Truytees. The ￿'rk Session members are
the Elders tsf the ChuTeh and are chosen from those mvmbers of the. C,hurch whn are
considered to have the appropriate gths alld talents.
The Mmister is eAlled and eleeted by the Congregatson and ordainedl indueted by the
local Presbytery.
Organisational Structure
The Kirk Sesbion is chaired by the ￿"nIster and normally meets ten time.b a year.
Certain responsibilktes are devolved to the Management Group of the Kirk SessioD.
Objectives & Activities
The Church of Seotland is Trinitarian in doctrine., reformed in tradition and Presbyterian
in polity. It exi8ts to glorify God and to work for the advaiicement of Christ'8 Ilingdom
throughout the world. As a natsonal church, it aeknowledge8 a distiDctive eall and duty
ts) bring the orthnances of reli￿On to the people in every parish of Scotland through
territorial ministry. It co-operates with other churche8 ID various ecumo.nic21 bodies
in Scotland and beyond.
ACTtVlTJES PARTICULAR TO AULD KIRK
The Auld Kirk of Ayr holds one Str￿Ce of worship every Sunday.

As the Town Church, thp Auld kn'rk nonn1￿Y holds tbe annual Remembrance SeThice. whieh is

TuesdAy Lunches are served for most of the yeAr and are supported by
Church memberg and the local community.
