Objectives and Activities In addition to the church service on a Sunday morning at 10.IXiam each week, th are a number of other attivities, which form part of the church family at Tillicoult Parish Church, utilising all of the church premises as a meeting place. attractin8 church members and also an important outreach into the community. These activities can be categorised into a number of areas.. Achievements and Performan Our church is vibrant with a great deal going on, in addition to the normall weekl morning service of a Sunday at 10.LX)am. All the activities and organisations are thrivin8 and providing outreach into the community and within the membership the parish.
We continue to see a number of committed members from within the congreg volunteerin8 to lead and be part of the activity groups. Their hard work and dedic ensures that space is available for all a8es to tap into some attivities on a weekly This also ensures that our premises are being well used throughout the week, people are part of Tillicoultry Parish Church, whether attending on a Sunday mor or not. ion ion sis. nd ing Worship We have been able to worship together throughout the year, with steady numbe attendin8. It is encouraging to see steady numbers week by week and whilst a nu of our older member5 are no longer able to be with us on a Sunday morning, they tune in online, via the Youtube channel or Facebook pa8e, or for those wit internet access havin8 the DVD'S delivered to their homes ensures that they cont to feel part of the church family. This has helped free up t allowing the minister to return to pre-covid duties. The numbers in Youn8 Churc small, however it is encoura8ln8 to see that the children's families are an integral of the life and work of the church each week. are ber can out ue ace are The minister also leads Mid-week Worship, a short informal day time service on fortnight, mainly for those who attend Thursday Club, a group run for our o members. with transport, refreshments and entertainment provided. der We are very fortunate to have our Worship Group, members of the congregation have completed training to allow them to lead Sunday worship in the mini5 absence. The contribution that they make is greatly appreciated by members and sustainability in the future is in a good place for the future. In November, 5 mem of the group received accreditation as Worship Leaders from Perth Presbytery. Pastoral visits were made by the minister where there wa5 need or a particular request. The Snowdrop Café continues to attract around 30 people regularly. Kirk Session Back in 2023, a FocusGroup appointed bythe Kirk Session. brou8ht recommendat that the size of Kirk Session should be reduced from I" January 2024. Kirk Sessi now made up of the Moderator. Session Clerk. Depute Session Clerk and 12 mem chosen and appointed by the full eldership of the congregation. These 15 will b Trustees on Tillicoultry Parish Church and will serve for a three year term. In ord ensure that the whole group did not change at one time again, the initial 8ro length of service was split over three years. The committee structure within eldership was also reviewed and new committees were formed. made up of mem of Kirk Session and all Active Elders. who are not Trustees. The four committees Mission, Property, Stewardship & Finance and Supwrt. Whilst Tillicoultry, Dollar and Muckhart were scheduled to move to a link with a view to a union at some future point. the three Kirk Sessions all felt that ra than have two changes, we would move direct to a union. The Church of Scotland recognised all the buildings in the three charges as essential and all will remain o as worship centres. in each of the communities. The will involve the removal of all the pews and the lowering of all floorings to ihe s level. New ramps will be installed at the from and side of buildin8 to make it fully accessible for all entrances. The existing Vestry and Kit areas will be reconfigured to help with hospitality.
