**Purposes:** &#x27;the advancement of citizenship or community development&#x27;

**What the charity does:** To own and manage the Community Hall for the benefit of all island residents. To run the hall as a place of welcome, relaxation and communication to encourage physical and mental health where all can belong and participate in community life. We run a motorhome and caravan facility with electric hookups to encourage visitors to stay for more than a day visit. We also own a run the Fetlar Community Growing Project, 4 polycrubs sited next to the Stakkafletts housing development. Eleven growing beds can be booked by residents on an annual basis for growing fruit, vegetables and flowers. This project benefits physical and mental health, community relationships and integration as well as giving very local access to fresh produce and reducing food miles.

**Beneficiaries:** &#x27;No specific group, or for the benefit of the community&#x27;

**Objectives:** The Objects of the Association shall be:- (a) To promote the well being of the Community resident in Fetlaer, (hereinafter called “the neighbourhood”) without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating the Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and Residents in a common effort to further health, to advance education, to provide a meeting place and facilities for physical and mental training and recreation, and social, moral and intellectual development, and to foster a community spirit for the achievement of these and other such objects as may by law be deemed to be charitable. (b) To secure the establishment, maintenance and management of a Community Centre (hereinafter called “the centre”) for activities promoted by the Association and its constituent bodies, in furtherance of the above objects, or any of them.
