Objectives and activities
The objectives of the company are lo encourage and advance through education the interest of
agriculture within the area of Kilmaurs and its environs.
Achievements and performance
The company was incorporated on 5 April 2005 and cornmenced trading on 1 September 2005 when il
took over the activities previously undertaken by the Kilmaurs Farmers Society Association.
The company continue5 to organise and arrange for the Annual Show.
Financial review
Overall the company had a surplus of £1,343 for the year.

I report on the financial slalemenls for the year ended 31 August 2025, which comprise the statement
of financi818Ctivities (including income and expenditure account). slalemenl of financial position and
the related notes.
Respectlve responslbllities of dirgctors and gxaminer
The charity's directors (who are also the directors of the company for the purposes of company lawl
are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and
Trustee Investment Iscollandl Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts IScolland} Regulations 2006. The
charity directors consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 1011 Ila) to {cl of the 2006 Accounts
Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section
44{1 Ilcl of the Act and to stale whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of Independent examlner's report
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the
accounts presented with those records. 11 also includes consideration of any unusual items or
disclosLJres in the accounts. and seeks explanations from the directors concerning any such matters.
The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and
cOnsequen￿Y I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

The charity is a public benefit entity and a private company limited by guarantee, registered in
Scotland and a registered charity in Scotland. The address of the registered Offi￿ is 7

Statement of compllance
These financial statements have be8n prepared in Complian￿ with FRS 102, 'The Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland,, the Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordan￿ with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (Charities
SORP IFRS 10211 and the Companies Act 2006.

Basis of preparatlon
The financial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis, as modified by the
revaluation of certain financial assets and liabilities and investment properties measured al fair
value through income or expenditure.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the enlity.

There are no material Un￿rtaInlieS about the charity's ability lo continue.

The preparation of the fi'nancial statements requires management lo make judgements,
estimates and assumptions that affect the amounts reported. These estimates and judgemenlg
are continually reviewed and are based on experien￿ and other factors, including expectations
of future events that are believed lo be reasonable under the circumstances.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds are available for uge at the discretion of the trustees lo further any of the
charity's purposes.
Designated funds are unreslricled fund$ eam)arked by the directors for particular future project
or commitment.
Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure declared by the donor or
through the terms of an appeal, and fall into one of two sub-classes.. reslricled income funds or
endowment funds.

Incoming resources
All incoming resources are included in the statement of financial activities when enlillemenl has

income from donations or grants is recognised when there is evidence of entitlement to the

impractical lo measure reliably, in which case the value is derived from the cost lo the donor

the contribution of general volunteers.
