The Congregation has been steadfart in our weekly Sunday Servi￿ attendan￿.
There were new members who joined the congregation in 2024. This included 6 young people
and 4 adults. publicly professing theirfaith to take on the membership of St rollox Church.
As a congregation, we have benefrtted from the leadership and guidan￿ of the pulpit supply
with the engagement of the young p￿pIe in leading praise and worship by showc35ingtheir
God given talents.
We are Still goin8 through the process of the Presbytery Mission Plan and there has been
changes to the membership of auster IF in temis of the drfferent congregations.
St Rollox was a150 involved in the Sighthill Comrnunity Christmas Carol and tree lighting event as
choirs.
Despite the uncertainties of 2024. we have witnessed the gra￿ and mercies of God at St Rollox
in 2024

Finantlal Revlew
2024 proved to be a difficutt year for St Rollox Churth from a finanaal point of wew. In
particular, the General Fund Year End balan￿ showed a drop in the c105ing value compaied with
20231£9150 v £125651. This was disappointin& though it 15 important to appreciate that we
neveT the less met all our committnents for the year and the dosing balance of £9150 is a
positive posltion.
A brief summary analysi5 shows that the General Fund regular income dropped from £44894 in
2023 to £42343 in 2024.
At the same time. our costs, especially Energy Costs, increased from £39519 In 2023 to £45758
in 2024. We are subscribers to Genernl Tw5tees Energy contracts which, after a 3 year fixed rate,
introduced new supplier5 and new rntes from Sept 2023 for Electririty and from April 2024 for
Gas.
Both handovers experienced difficuttyes and indeed our 2024 Accounts includes Electricity
Charge5 from 2023 amountingto more thèn £13￿ billed to us in 2024.
The Congregational Board continues to oversee the statu5 of our Restritted Funds. each of which
is meeting it's purpose.
As the cost5 associated wf(h running our new building become dearer afterthè Covid
interuption. and significantly increased contrTrbutions are demanded in 2025 from our Central
Church, the Board has already planned a financial re¥iew during the tst quarter of 2025

I report on the accounts of the chartty for the year ended 31 December 24 which are set out on
page5 6 to 11.
Respertive responslbllltles of trustees and examlner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotlandl Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts
Iscotlandl Regulations 2006 las amended).
The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10{l}Idl of the Accounts
Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under
section 44111(c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examinerfs statement
An examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl
Regulations 2006135 amended). An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept
by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts. and seeks explanations from the
trustees concernin8 any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence
that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view
given by the accounts.
Independent examinerfs statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44 (11(a) of the 2005 Act and
Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations las amended). and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9
of the 2006 Accounts Regulations las amended) have not been met. or
2. to which, in my opinion. attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understandin8
of the accounts to be reached.
