'the saving of lives'

We organise rescues for people in the mountains that may be lost, injured or otherwise unfit to get themselves to safety. This is with the assistance of the Police, as well as other agencies and occasionally the use of neighbouring teams.

Objectives: 4.1 To provide, free of charge, a mountain rescue service for members of the public who are injured, lost, missing or immobilised anywhere in the mountains or elsewhere. 4.2 To acquire, maintain and hold in readiness all equipment and apparatus necessary for carrying out the organisation's purposes. and 4.3 To afford opportunities for members of the organisation to practice the skills required for carrying out the primary objects of the organisation. 4.4 To provide such other emergency services as may be requested by the Scottish Ambulance Service and/or Police Scotland from time to time.
