CHIEF EXECUTIVE REPORT 2025 Funding remains a huge part of my remit and we were successful with accessing a total of £128,676, to cover various projects. As these funds are all restricted and rin -fenced, it is an ongoing task to ensure that we can continue to o er our valued and uniquely varied programme of user groups, social and community activities and support to the community. A successful Fundraiser in December with Columbo's brought us to the end of 2025 with a full programme and full of optimism for 2025. Little did we know what 2025 was to bring As you all know only too well, at the end of January this year we were faced with the biggest battle I have seen in 29 years. The horrendous dama e from Storm Eown saw us lose a huge part of the main hall roo , en all the interior of the hall was destroyed, with extensive water damage reducing the hall to a husk. We did, for a stressful few weeks, have to face the thought of closure. But fortunately, our insurers came through for us and with outstandin support and goodwill from the community, we were able to embar on a very substsntial rebuild and here we are holding our AGM in the refurbished Centre. I want to thank all the Trustees, groups, staff volunteers who hel ed us through the last eight months whicA saw us here toni wit a magnificent facility to offer to the community. But that is next year's report so I will end this report with "We are still, and will remain, in The Heart of The Community" Welcome everyone and thank you for attending and supporting our AGM. Although we ma all think the last ear has been all about the drama of 'the roof on came after Storm y two months of t e year 2024-2025 actually owyn! Since our last annual meetin have settled into their roles as Centre Managers, ta us orwar with a full programme for all ages and interests, inclu2ing adding our very popular and creative Le o Club. We also welcomed and to the sta team and they have all ma eagrea contribu ion work of the Centre, as have the new volunteers stepping up. The Easter Trail in artnershi with the Rabbit Braes committ* was again very success antastic team of volunteers and very enerous donations from the 1599 Kirkcaldy Lodge, Morrisons, 'n'M, Poundland and the general public via Love Kirkcaldy. The summer Gala was very successful in June 2024, in partnership with the Rabbit Braes committee. This community event is such an ortant date in the Centre calendar but unfortunately is proving e increasingly difficult with insurances and lack of volunteers. Our Christmas community events were lovely as always - with lots of fun an enchantin Santa's Grotto and so man support from the 1539 Lodge and the new Dunni hap y faces The ier team was tremendous as was the Christmas Da ountry Park such an enjoyable feelgood day for those atten community meal, 28 volunteers who give up their time to su ing, along with the ort the event. This is always the hi hest profile day of the year or Hosting Hope but they do a wondelul job of providing a welcoming community lunch each month throughout the year. We continued to support the Ukrainian meal club which is so very important to that community and included a love(y Christmas meal for over 60 people. We also supported Fife Council's Cafe Inc meal initiative over the school holidays, with additional support for local families through the year. We have maintained our long-standing support for the Kirkcaldy Foodbank and a lot of work and support is done quietly in the back- ground with the Centre becoming an immediate point of contact for many. Partnership working and the donations from local food stores have helped us deal with crisis situations for local people. ht or -chief Executive Officer
