The Office Bearers who served during the year and to th¢ date of this report are listed below. The Trustees understood their slatuiory responsibilitics during the a¢countin8 p¢riod. Title deeds lo the prop¢rti¢s own¢d by the Chuwh or in which the Church has a secur¢d interest are held in the name of the Church. During 2021 ihe church began the prc)¥e%.% of becoming a Sootlish Chariiable Incorporaled Organisation (SCIO). This work was undertaken by from Diakoneo LRgal Services. N¢w Truslees are nominated for appointment to this office und¢r the temis of the chUh Constitution. There is no rixed terni for Trusteeship, although the norm is three years. renewable once. Prior to their apwintmenL new Trustees would be active membcrs of the Church who have s¢tved the church for some lime in various roles and would be familiar with the ChUh,$ valu¢s, its aims and objectives as well as its d8y-tIFd&y operntions. As part of their induction programmc, new Trustees ar¢ r¢quired to understand thcir statutory responsibilities and to commit to a regular schedule of meetings. To live out the Christian faith in the community in practical and caring ways for those in need. To train and leach th¢ m¢mb¢rs of Portob¢llo Baptist Church, h¢lping them kcome true disciples of Jesus Christ. To find ways of living our faith alongside other groups within the community, giving opportunity to share our faith with those who are interested. Through the year we have fully returned to in-person worship. A¢¢ess.' W¢ have adjusted our worship space throughout the year lo allow for better aecess for people especially those with mobility issues. while Maintainin a hospitable environment for visitors.. Youih Ministry.. Our youth and children's ministry have retumed as pr¢-covid ond we continue to offer SundAy specific programmes along wilh Inid-wcek evcnts for youth. Onlin¢ Loffltnunily.. Qur.8mall group network has been re-eslahlished wilh new memb¢rs joining throughoui ihe year. Reach and Impact.. We have been able lo connect with people far beyond our local g&)grdphic boundaries in the past year And have sn many visitors spend lime Attending OLir online services at various times of the year. Community Outreach and en8a8ement: We appointed a community Outreach Worker who has helped us begin a number of n¢w ventures including.. a warni spaces drop in 3 days a week during the winter months, a meeting place cafe, & crllft ond jigstsws day* all aimed al combutting loneliness in our community. We have woA(ed with our local community Fridge to providc hospitality and support for thcir work adding a drop in cAfc to their project. We partnered witli Edinburgli City Missioi? (and otli¢r churches) to dtlivcr a befricnding scheme in our ommunily. Outreach: We ran two Alpha courses in thisiime as well as rnnning a number of events around the major Christian fe.4iivals. christian Education= We have run a nurnr of ucation courses for people in our chur¢h¢s with subjects as diverse as pra)'er, faith in the workplace and spiritual PTactices. We also spent Sl8nificant tiTne, effort and finance brin8in8 our building back into shap¢ for us Ls we have begun thosc new ministries And to best facilitnte Sunday worship. Page 2

This allows sufficienl funds to enable the ongoing work of the Church to be mainiained. Per the Siatement of B&lances on page 6, the General Fund at 31 March 2023 amounted to £27.940 (2021., £21,012). Restricted funds amounted io £10,987 (2021: £14.976).
