Activities
'It carries out activities or services itself'
'any other purpose that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to any of the preceding purposes'
Our purpose is to maintain Rafford Village Hall for the use of the community of Rafford village and surrounding areas. The hall is used by a number of groups which vary from a toddler group to Scottish country dancing. The hall is available to hire for private functions and we pride ourselves on providing excellent facilities. The committee do an outstanding job of ensuring that the hall is well maintained and is fit for purpose. We are forward thinking and always looking at opportunities to improve. We apply for grants and funding to support the hall and to provide community benefits. A great example of this would be our Souper Thursdays, where anyone can come to the hall and have a bowl of homemade soup and enjoy the company of neighbours and other local residents. We hold various fundraising events through the year to engage with the community. We host a monthly cafe which is extremely popular and is well known throughout the Moray area.
Objectives: For the purpose of physical and mental training and recreation, and social, moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading and recreation rooms, library, lectures, classes, recreations and entertainments or otherwise as may be found expedient.
