ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE The Trustees note the results of the year as laid out In the Re￿IptS and Payments Account. Thls year the charitable distrlbution5 were £34,555 compared wlth £NII In the previous year. CESSATION OF CHARrrY At an Extraordinary Meetln8 of the trustees held on 14th September 2022, the trustees resolved to cease the activities of the charlty. The trustees had prevlously conducted a search of other local charities operating with similar oblertlves to that of Rutherglen Benevolent Fund. The trustees identlfied Rutherglen Carers (Charity No SC027037) as a worthy charity to honour the benevolent funds, objectives. Following realisation of the chariws investments, the trustees resolved to donate its resldual funds to Rutherglen Carers. The final donation was completed by 31st October 2022. Rutherglen Benevolent Fund teased its activities on 2nd November 2023. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER Following the cessation of the fund. there 15 no requlrement to re-appoint an independent examiner. RUTHERGLEN BENEVOLENT FUND Independent Exarninerfs Report to the Trustees of Rutherglen Benevolent Fund I report on the accounts of the charlty for the year ended 2 November 2022 which are set out on pa8es 4 to6. Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Exarniner The charitys Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts In accordance wlth the term5 of the Charltie5 and Trustees Investment {Scotlandl Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts IScotland} Regulations 2(K)6 las amended). The charity Trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(l}Idl of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 4411)Ic) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basls of Independent Examlnerfs Statement My examlnatlon Is carrled out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 21J06. An examlnation includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charlty and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also indudes consideratlon of any unusual iterns or disclosure5 in the accounts and seeks explanations from the Trustees concernin8 any such matters. The Pro￿dureS undertaken do not provKle all the evidÈnce that would be required in an audit and, consequentty I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
