GSS is the largest visual art production centre in Scotland, supporting sculptural practice in its widest sense. We support artistic excellence across a wide-ranging variety of creative practice, evolving our understanding of visual art production, the changing needs of artists, and barriers to accessing creativity. We provide affordable facilities and workspaces, technical expertise and career development opportunities. GSS recognises that, by supporting the careers of artists, we are supporting a wider context of creative expression, social engagement, health and well-being, economic and environmental development, and international profile. We are committed to inclusivity and having a positive role within the community. We provide access to creative processes, skills development and support community empowerment through a dedicated Learning and Engagement programme, generating projects which benefit the lives of people in North Glasgow

Objectives: To promote, maintain improve and advance education and to stimulate and educate public interest in the practice and knowledge of the art of sculpture and to provide facilities for the practice by any member of the Association of such sculptural techniques as carving, modelling, casting and construction and other sculpture: processes, and for the exhibition of works produced by these techniques and the sale of any sculpture and to' formulate, prepare and establish schemes, whether on premises owned or leased by the Association or elsewhere, and provided that all the objects of the Association shall be of a charitable nature.
