Coupar Antsu5 Abbey Chureh of Scotland is administered in accordance with the tems of the Unitary Constitution. {Deed signed October ?007.1 Recruitrn¢nt and Appointm¢Dt of Trustees Members of the Kirk Session are the chariiy Irustees. The Kirfo Session members are the elder5 of the church and are chosen from those members of the church who are ¢on5idered to have the appropriate gifts and skills. The minister. who is a rnember of the Kirk Se5si0n. is elected by the congregation and inducted by Presbytery. Organisational Structure The Kirk Session meets a minimum of five limes per year for ordinary business with additional meetings called as required, and 15 responsible for all aspect5 of the life of ihe congreiFation in terms of pasioral well-beinu and all mattcrs relatino io fabrie and finance. Nlembers of the congregation who are not elders but who have the 5ki115 and commitmenl to contribute to Ihe manattement affairs of the ¢hur¢h are invited lo become Involved in the work of the Kirk Session through groups and committees as required. Objectivw and Activlties The Chllrch of S¢otland is Trinitarian in doctrine, Refonned in tradition and Presbyterian in polity. It exists to 810rify God and to work for Ihe advancemet of Christ's Kiniidom throu(rhout Ehe world. As a national church, it acknowledoes a distinctive call and duty to bring the ordinances of religion to the people ofevery parish of Scotland through *rriiorial ministry. It eOperateS with other ¢hur¢hes in various ecumenIeal bodies itl Scotland and beyond. Achievements and P¢rforTnance A hard financial year again with the inflation rates and Cost of livin(T This has resulted in higher costs all round foi everyone and tlie running of th¢ finance5 of the church, hoi¥ever glad to say anothcr storm weathered and we are progressino onward. with the help of all the volunteers and generosity of the congregation. Many thanks to all for their support. We are at present without a minister tnany thanks to Worship Readers who have stepped forward with their services and keeping Sunday services going Strong. Over the year the teas and coffee after servtce have proved 5ucces5ful and rnany stop to chat and enjoy each other's company and fellowship. Not to forget those that hclp running this. The Soup Lunches also have proved ¢0 be popular and attendance increased each time. these at present are running twice a month and will run until the end of March 20?5 where the voluntcer, will have a well-deserved break until next season begins aoaift. Our FrÈendly Fridays are as popular. Held on 151 Friday of ihe monih these have been busy bringin fellowship and a welcoining afternoon iviih teas, coffee. biscuits and cake. The Charity shop although only run for a week was successful, Iliis will be run a(Tain but for two wceks mid-2025. CoAfim)ation of dates will be notifi¢d thTough p05teTS and intitnations at ¢hur¢h services. There are changes afoot within the church and th¢ aim is io have them completed by end 2025 it is planned further information will be forthcoming over the nexr year to keep us informed.

"Other income" was used to disclose the payments of £1.89J owed by Bendochy from their share of expcnses. The Church re¢orded a surplus in the year of £7,209. Restricted Funds The Abhey Chtijrh Develowneni Fiindwas created to control income and expenditure relating to Ihe developmeni of the sanctuary in any way. All funds from 5prcific fund-rdising activities aTe placed here and can only bt spent in relation io such developmetlt. The Children'5 Ministry receive5 no financial support from th¢ Church and pays for Ihe use of the church building. Its income mainly comes from weekly subscriptions. with o¢ca5ional 5rnall donations from individuals. Alihough th¢ congregation has no lasm or access to these funds. in ihe event of these (rroups being closed down any residLSal fund5 will be divided equally between Coupar Angus Abbey Church of Scotland1SCO144381 and Bendochy Parish Church of SwQtland (SC0043581. Reserves Policy The Church intends to matntain a reserve fund sutTieient for i months expense5. As fjjrther funds become available this will rise to 6 months. Statemenl of Trustees Responsibilittes The m¢inbers of ihe Kirk Session must prepare firtan¢ial statements whÉch give sufficient detail io enable an appreejation of the tran5action5 of the ChLtrch during the finan¢i41 year.
