YEAR ENDED 30 SEFfEMBER 2024
The charity's trustees ptEsent their annual report tog¢ther with the financial stat¢rnents
for thc year ended 30 September 2024.
St Anne's Church is linked wÈth St Catharine's Blairgowrie and St Ninians Alyth under a joint liaison
committee which allocates exFnses of Rectors stipend, pension. car mileage, office and rectory in the
proportion St Arme's 400/0. St Catharine's 400/0 and St Ninians 20 %.
Structur¢ and Governance
In tenns of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 21K)5 and the Charitie5
Account5 (Scotland) Regulations 2006, the Vesty reports to the congregation as follows-
l. St Anne's Episcopal Church- Coupar Angus is a registered Scottish Charity (SCOI 4389)
2. It is a member of the Diocese of St Andrew& Dunkeld and Dunblane of the Scottish Episcopal
Church and is in full wmmunion with the Anglican Church
3. The superior authority is the Bishop of St Andrew& Dunkeld and Dunblane
4. All of its affairs are governed by the Vestry.
Appoilltment of Vestry Members
Vesty members are elected or appotnted by Annual Congregational Meeting established by
constitution and under Canon Law of the Scottish Episcopal Church. There is nu formal
induction program but ongoin¥ guidancc is givcn to cn5urc that Vestry meEnbcr5 arc
familiar with the Church's values, aims and responsibilities as the designat￿ trustees of a
charity.
Administrative Strncture
It is the duty of the Vestry to manage the tempornl affairs of the congregation with
responsibility to keep the fabric and propcrty of the church and other buildings in good
working order and lo look aftcr the finan¢¢s of the church.
Statement of Risk
The Vesty keeps under review the major risks to which the Church is exw)sed and has
establishcd procedures to mitigate any risks identified.
Charitable Objectives and Activities
The Church's principal activities include public worship in sacrament and prayer. Christian
education, charitable work and fund rnising for local, national and international needs. social
meeting% predomiTJantly uf the youth. the elderly and rnany community groups of all ages.
Volunteers
The Vestry is grate￿1 for the time freely given by a large number of volunteers, without
whom many of the activittes would be unable to operate.

The Church continues to make its facilities available for use and provide worship for the
whole wmmunity

done to ensurc that the financial statements comply wtth the Charities and Trnstce Inv¢sttn¢nl
(Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accoiints (Seotiand) Regulat&ons 2006. They are also
sponsible for safegyudrding the assets of the Church and must takc reasonablc sÉcps for the
Prevention and/or detethion of fraud and othcr irregularities.

I report on the acLollnts of the charity for the veaT ended 30 September 2024 which are set out
on pages 5 to 7.

onsider that the audit requirement of Regulation I ￿1} (d) of the Accounts Kcgulations docs
not apply. It is my responsibÈlity to entnine the accounts as required under seclion 44(1) (c)
of the Act and to state whethcT P3rticular rnatters hav¢ come to my attention.

My exaTninatiOn 15 carried oul in accordance with Regulatiun I l uf Ihc Charilic5 Accounts
(Scotland) Regulaiions 21K>6. An examination includes a review of the accounting records
kcpt by thc charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also
includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts. and seeks
explanations from th¢ trustccs conccrning such mattcrs.'I'hc proccdurcs undcrtaken do not
pr()vide all ihe ¢videnLv ihdt would be required in an audiL and consequently I do not express
an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

1 PROPERTY
The church, hall and rectory are not shown in the statement of balances as the Vestry
believes that it is not possible to place a market value on them. The valuation of the
buildings for Insuran￿ is £4,124,992
2 FUNDS
The various funds are all held unrestricted and held to support the woth of the Chruch
and upkeep of their propety
3 TRUSTEE EXPENSES
Remuneration
None of the Veslry members received remuneration in respect of their position as
Vestry members. However the Rector, also rector of St Calhatine's Blaiig¢)wrie and St
Ninian's Atyth receives a stipend, pensTon contribution from the three churches
and wcupies the rectory on a rent-free basis with the Council Tax also being paid by
the Church.
There were no expenses paid to membern of the Veslry.
