The thurch worship service on a Sunday is now able to be livestreamed from Annbank every
week through the church's Face Book page.
In November 2021 we commenced a joint fortnightly reflertion and prayer time for
Annbank and Tarbolton Churches hosted in both Annbank & Tarbolton Churches. this now
takes place in the Church Manse in Tarbolton in a more informal setting. Thi5 time of prayer
and bible study is attended by member5 of the Tarbolton Gospel Hall.
As a church community we continue to deliverthe Food Bank Hub weekly. part ofthe South
Ayrshire Food Bank (Trussell Trust) which covers the 3 villa8es of Annbank, Mossblown and
Tarbolton and this 15 still regulady made use of and receives frequent refefrals from South
Ayrshire Council Emer8ency Support Line. as well as self-referrals and referrals from the
local Pr5mary School5.
We continue to support our partner church in San8a Malawi on regular basis. We have
recently sent donations from both churches to allow them to buy seeds and fertillser and
they are re8ularly in touch via WhatsApp sending messa8es. news. and wdeos of services
and what's happenln8 In their communities.
We have supported the Hosplce this year with a cheque from our cornmuntty fund as they
look to relocate back to their recenily refurbished premises in Ayr.
Durin8 the winler in 2022 we introduced a cosy hub on a Tuesday mornin8 where folks can
come alon& keep warm and enjoy a time of fellowship and cup of tea. Thls also colncldes
with the Communlty Garden Hub lime too. The garden continues to take shape wlth raised
beds, seasonal plantlng, plantin8 of frult trees and ve8etable 8rowin8 and landscapin8
around the church bulldlng itself.
We stlll contlnue to fundraise on a re8ular basis to enable us to update the heatln8 wlthln
the church. although we are aware that with the costryof-livin8 crisis people continue to be
cautlou5 With their money.

Structure. Governance and Management
Governlng D¢)cument
The Church is administered in accordance with the terms of the Unitary Deed of
Constitution.
The Recrultmenl and Appolnlment of Trustees
On adoptin8 the Unitary Constitutlon, only the members of the Kirk Session are now the
charity trustees. The Kirk Session members are ihe elders of the church and are chosen
from those members of the church who are consldered to have the appropriate gifts and
skills. The Minister. who Is a member of the Kirk Session, is elected by the congre8ation and
indurted by Presbytery. The Kirk Session are supported by Elders ar)d members of the
congregation who make up the church Finance Team. Property Team. Social and Fundralslng
Team and Misson Team. These teams are led by a serrfing Elder who can report back to the
Leadership Team and the Kirk Session. These teams were put In place after adoptlng the
unitary constltution wlth approval from the Presbytery and legal approval from the Church
of Scotland on the 141hof June 2022.

The Klrk Sesslon which meets four tlmes a year Is re5ponslble for splrftual affaSrs.
or8anisation and leadership withln the church. There is also a Leadershlp Team In place
who set the Kirk Sesslon agenda and deal wlth other buslness matters. This team conslsts of
all the Team leaders, Minister and Session Clerk. Addltional meetlngs may be called if
requlred. There are now team members who are not trurtees who continue to give thelr
tlme and talents and each team will meet around five times a year again with the facility to
Meet more if requlred. We now have the facility to hold these meetings via zoom in line
with the Church of Scotland Virtual Attendance at Meetings Act (Act Vl 20181, If required,
but have been meeting in person.
Objectlves and Artlvltles
The Church of Scotland is Trlnitarian in doctrine, reformed in tradition and Presbyterian In
polity. It exists to glorify God and to work for the advancement of Christ's kin8dom
throughout the world. As a national church, it acknowledges a distinctive call and duty to
bring the ordinances of religion to the people in every parish of Scotland through a
territorial ministry. It co-operates with other Churches in various ecumenical bodles in
Scotland and beyond.

Weekly rellgious services - Sunday Worship at 11.30am. occasional eveninB ser4ices take
place on a Sunday throughout the year. Holy Cornmunion celebrated 3 times per year.
Annual Harvest Thanks8ivin& Remembrance Services. Palm Sunday. Maundy Thursday.
Good Friday. and Easter Service5. During Advent- Blue Chrlstmas and a Carols by Candlelight
Chrlstmas Eve service were held. Joint services were held with our linked church Tarbolton
Church during the summer months. There is a continued Chaplaincy commitment to
Annbank Primary School which includes Input assemblies, pupll support and end of term
services, World Day of Prayer SeThiice. Baptlsms, Weddings. Funerals, Hospital and Home
Visits, Pastoral phone calls. involvement with the Guild contlnue a5 well as fortnightly mld-
week Prayer Group and Blble Study. Regular fundralsers and social events. Organi5ation and
runnin8 ofthe weekly Food Bank Hub, weekly Community Garden Hub, and Social Hub.

Achlevements and Performance
Numbers at Sunday worshlp are around 40 on other occasion5 itcan be more, but there was
a noticeable increase when open pre pandemic we have also wldened our membership
slnce posting worship services online wlth around 75 loining us onllne, and our online
presence expands beyond this country to fvrther afield. The church contSnues to provlde the
ordlnances of religion and to spread the gospel In the Parish of Annbank, which includes the
vllla8es of Annbank and Mossblown and to play its part in the wider worship and witness of
the church. The Church has recently undergone a major refurbishrnent and reordering
within the sanctuary itself, 50 that we can use our church on a daily basis wlthin the
communlty. Our disabled access and accessible tollets have been installed allowin8 full
accessibility within the church building.
Flnanclal revlew
The principal source of income is weeklyl monthly offerings, weddings, funerals. a regular
Income for misslon and fundralslng donatlons.

Reserves Pollcy
It Is the Trustee'5 policy to hold reserves of approximately three months, expenditure
including designated funds. At the year end the Church held unrestrirted cash funds of
£7380. The Church also held £40.637 of restricted funds for the purpose specified in note
two.

The members of the Kirk Session (Trustee51 must prepare financial statement5 which glve
sufficient detail to enable an appreciation of the transartions of the Church during the
financial year. The members of the Kirk Session a￿ responsible for keepin8 proper
accounting records which, on request. must reflect the financial position of the churth at
that tirne. This must be done to ensure that the financial statements comply with the
Charities and Tiustee Inve5tment15cotlandl Regulations 2006 and the Regulations Anent
Congregational Finance approved by the General Assembly of the Church of 5cotlaF7d in
2007. They are also responsible for 5afe8uarding the asset5 of the chvrd) and must take
reasonable steps for the prevention and/or detection of fraud and Dther irregularities.
