LEGAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION
The Congregation is an uninwrpordt¢d association originally registered as a religious
charity, with Inland Revenue (Scotland) on ihe basis of a Declaration linking its activities
with its parent charity. Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society of Britain, (the Society) and
now operates on the basis of a Constitution adopted on 26th July 21X)7

4 The Constitution restricts the operation of the Congregation to religious PUTposes and
limits the use of its assets to such purposes. these being the practice and advancement of
Christianity founded on th¢ Holy Bible, including the preaching of the Liood news of
God's Kingdom by Jesus Christ within the Congregation area and the holding of meetings
for public religious worship
During the year the Congregation has achieved its objectives and continued to pursue its
purp)ses by holding regular twice-weekly meetings for the public worship of Cyod and
Bible study. Further, most congregation members have assisted by sharing regularly in
preaching the good news of God's Kingdom and teaching principles of Christian living
including respect for secular authority. persons and propety" the maintenance of personal
morality and family values. and other facets of practical Christianity.

9. Of parti¢ular significance in th¢ financial affairs of Ihe Coiigregation during the yearwaq:
The gi'ants of £6,900.00 were approved by Con￿'egatIOn rcsolulioiis for the charitable work
of associated Charities to Watch 'fower Society & IBSA to assist with their Worldwide
arrangel￿ents.
During the year, the slim of £6.614.00 was Collected on behalf of the Society also the
Intcmational Bible Students Association and forwarded to those Charities.
In all respects the Congregation continues to co-operate closely with the other duly
constituted congre¢yations for the common purpose of advancing Christianity by
preaching the good neivs of God's Kingdom by Jesiis Christ.

I l. The I"ru8tees have the power to invest in any way they see fit, but having ￿yard to the
soundness of the financial institiitioii. and our Christian principles. Any funds that may
be needed in the short term will he invested on that basis,
Reserves Policy

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORTTOTHE TRUSTEES OF
EDINBURGH SLATEFORD CONGREGATION OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2025, which are set out on page
Respeciive Responsibillties of Trustees and Examiner
The Charit￿$ Trustee5 are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts
(Scotland) Regulations 2006. The Charity Trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation
1011){d} of the Accounts Regulation does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as
required under Section 44 {11(cl of the Act and to stste whether particular matters have come to my
attention.
Basls of Independent Examlnerfs Statement
My examinatlon is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland)
Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity
and a comparison of the accounts presented wrth those records. It also includes consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning
any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provlde all the evidence that would be
required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an opinion on the view given by the
accounts.
Independent Examinerfs Statement
In the course of my examinats'on, no matter has come to rny attention:
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that In any material respect requlrements:
a) to keep accounting records in accordance with the Section 4411)(a)of the 2005 Act and
Regulats'on 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulatt"ons, and
b) to prepare accounts which accord with the accoUn￿ng records and comply with
Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or
21 to which. in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
be reached.
