Structure, governance and management
Type of governing document
The Charity C￿aniSation became a SCIO on 2 December 2016. It is
govemed by its Q)nstitiJt￿n which was last amended and adopted on 29
February 1996. The asS￿at￿1n was granted charitable status on 15
March 1985.
Trustee recruitment and appointment
The Management Committee shall consist of trustees appointed or re-
appointed by the members at an Annual General Meeting. In addrtion. the
Management Committee shall have the wwer to Co-opt addrtional
members who shall be fvll (K a$￿)caate members of the ASs￿lation.
Membership of the AssocialK)n shall be open to:
al AJI persons Itving in Corstorphine and Su￿ound1ng areas and they shall
be called Full Members. Only those aged 18 or over shall be eligible to
vote
bl In addrtion. indNKlual Association Membership shall be open to those
people of 18 years of over who. in the opinion of the committee. shall
Jrther the aims of the Asswation and the community. Associate
members shall have the same status as Full Members wtth the
exception of clause 6{b}.

management commrttee that their aims arKI objectives are similar lo those

Objectives and activities
Charitable purposes
a) To promote the benefft ofthe inhabitants of Corslorphine and
surrounding areas without d￿tinCtIOn of political, religiou5 or other opinions
by associating the Local Aulhoritie5, Voluntary Organisation5 and
inhabitants in a common effort to provide facilitie5 in the interest of 50aal
wetfare for recreation and leisure time occupation and to advance
edUCatiC￿ wth the 0￿.ect of improving conditions of lrfe for the said
inhabitants.
The Assoeiation shall be non-party in polibes and non-seetarian in religion.
Summary of the main activities
in relation to these objects
To seujre the establishmerrt, maintenance and management of multiple
premises for aCtiV￿eS promoted by the association in furtherance of the
atove obJ"eclives.

Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of
the charity during the financial period
The Charity has seen a significant in￿ease in activf(ies following a new
and re-energised tx)ard being appointed in November 2023.
Revenues in(¥eased to £35.655. including a £19.000 grant by the National
Lottery ttTrRrds the rebjrbishment of the I(￿al Ccrfnmunity Centre.
Prtch hire revenue increased to £6.618, followng signfficant spend on the
Tall Oaks prtch rtSe￿[£4,0731, as well as the surrounding perimeter
{£6.127). Spend induded works on felling and chipping trees. Inmming of
hedges and bushes. prtch drainage, fertiliser, grass seed and lop
dressing. and incI￿jed many hours of volunteering by local groups and
comMunrt￿$.
Spend on the refurt￿'ShMent of the prevK)usty run-down and donnant local
Communty Centre amounted to c.£27,000 of which Corstorphine Dynamo
Communrty Fcotball Club (CDCFC} generously donated £4,255 towards,
th the balance coming from the National Lottery grant, as well as surplus
fijnds held by the Charlty. The Communty Centre is now used regularly by
the local communty for a whole h)st of drfferent events and activrties.
Following these undertakings. a decision was made by the Trustees in
JU￿ 2024 to transfer all of the assets & liabil[t￿$ held by the Charity to
CDCFC.
