**What the charity does:** The Clerical Friendly Society provides support to the active priests of the RC Diocese of Argyll and th Isles, mostly by refunding expenses such as optical, dental and other health-based expenses. On agreement with the Trustees we can also help some of our clergy with the costs of other items such as replacing liturgical books and travel expenses if a priest has been on retreat or working for the church if it is unreasonble for them to pay it themselves. The charity owns a flat which is rented, and has a stocks and shares portfolio to gain funds.
