AehR¢vetlleJats Perfornianc¢ The Church had 95 member% on its roll at l January 2023. Two members were added to the Roll of Communicallts and six members removcd flve deaths and one transfer bv certificate. There remains 91 members on the Communicants Roll plus 3 adherents at 31 December 2023 .'the Church continues to serve the pastoral needs of the pÈrish, with three baptlsms conducted in the Church during the year. Engagernent continues through the Mission Development Support worker with the I￿￿ school and services are deltvered in the care home at various points during the year by th¢ worship team. Finan¢l#l Revlew The main source of incorne remains from regulaT offerings and donotions. Tncome from this source (including related gift aid iefunds) increased slightly during 2023. Fundraising opponunitres have remained limited. Investment iftcome however has in¢reased. Expenditure h&8 remained stablè despite rising electricity and fuel costs, resulting in an actual deficit for the y&gr of £4,264. The inerease in Lunch Club income and ¢xpenditure reflects the return lo tull op*ations ptsst Covid. To help with cashflow towards the end of the year. we withdrew £8,705 from the Con501idated Fabric Fund Revenue account and this has ensllred we have suffjcient cash reserves to meet almost 6 muRths expenditure, and a surplus per the accounts of £4,441. Th¢ Church is dependent on the Manse rents to ￿Ver Its annual operatlll8 d¢ficits. Reservts Pollcy It is the wlicy of the Trustees to attempt to hold reserves of approximately three months expenditure in¢luding d¢signated funds. The lev¢1 of reserve5 held in our own fitnds at th¢ end of 2023 would meet that policy. 11J¢ Trustees continue to explore ways to increase revenue and build reserve5. Funds wer¢ drawn from the Consolidated Fabric Fund to meet expenditure during 2023, but no fvnds have been with<trdwn since 2021. capit￿ f￿ndS are available to cover the expenditure exp¢cted in 2024 on a new boiler. ststernent of Trustees, Responsibilities The members of the Kirk Session must prepare financial statements which give suffjcient detail to enable an appreciation of the transactions of the Church during the financial year.
