To benefit and improve the village and community of Edzell. It is coordinated and run by members of the society who volunteer to fundraising, set up and deliver events as well as maintaining public fixtures around the village. The Group is split into 5 sections and sub committees, Group 1 - The main overall committee, this group deals with with all the public events we host thought out the year as well as day to day enquires. Group 2 - Runs and maintains the public toilets. Group 3 - The men's shed who kindly help with village maintenance, as well as their own projects. Group 4 - The charity shop - the main fundraiser for our group and allows us to share funds with clubs and groups within the village, the day to day arrangements are run by a sub committee Group 5 - The Garden group sub committee look after all the baskets and containers around the village as well as the annual flower and produce show and garden open day.

Objectives: The Objects of the Society Shall be to promote the benefit of the residents of Edzell and Neighbourhood (hereinafter called 'the area of benefit'” without distinction of sex, or politics, or race or creed, or opinions, be associating with the Local Authorities. Voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare and recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the condition of life for the said residents, and such other objects as may be deemed to be charitable.
