## TRUSTEES REPORT 2024/2025

We continue to play a role both in the Rotary movement worldwide and within the local community. Our finances are strong, and well able to support our activities. Like many Charities, we our membership has reduced from 40-50 pre Covid to c15 now, not all of whom are active.

## Highlights of the year have been

Santas Sleigh — 6 nights in all weathers across our town. Wonderful for children and we raised a lot of money. Although it is a big challenge for a small Club, it is now a regular spot in Kirkcaldy’s Christmas activities

Children’s Ward-Victoria Hospital. This ward gets a lot of presents at Christmas, but not many for the rest of the year. So we have guaranteed that every child who goes into the ward will get a present, and we have organised a childrens entertainer once a month for them

Primary School Quiz — we have revived this (it died during covid) — and we had 7 schools taking part in an exciting first round. The participants loved it and we visited all the schools to give every participant a certificate

Kids Out. A long standing event and our biggest expenditure. We take children with special needs to the Deer Farm near Cupar for a special day, including seeing the animals and a special bird display. It is quite a challenge bringing them to Cupar, but the feedback from teachers, carers and the children is that is an amazing day for them

Dysart Primary School. Dysart is an area of severe deprivation within Kirkcaldy. Working with an enthusiastic parents group we help to organise monthly evening meeting for parents and children with activities and a bite to eat. These events have proved to be really popular

We have Club meetings weekly, and participate in Rotary District activities. Including joint meetings with local Rotary Clubs. Although small in numbers we are proud of our contributions to the local community
