The Trustees during the year are listed on page 1. ## **Risk management** The Trustees have assessed the investment risks to which the charity is exposed. ## **OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES** The Deed of Trust requires the Trustees to assist persons not over the age of thirty through bursaries, grants, travel awards and the like who, in the opinion of the Trustees, would benefit therefrom parXcularly in the fields of agriculture and home economics and to provide travel opportuniXes at home or abroad for persons who may be interested in widening their knowledge of agriculture, horXculture, arboriculture or the like. Such awards to be known as “THE GREGOR AWARD”. The Trust sets out to help annually one or two young people from Scotland to undertake study outwith Scotland on a subject related to agriculture or the home at a pracXcal level perXnent to the “back home” situaXon. ## **ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE** Grants allocated for the year amounted to £2,200 (2025 - £7,082). 2 ## **GREGOR AWARD TRUST YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 2026** ## **REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES** _(cont’d)_ ## **FINANCIAL REVIEW** The net receipts of the Trust for the year ended 31st March 2026 amounted to £258. (2025 – net payments £4,069). The market value of the Trust’s investments increased from £21,654 at 31st March 2025 to £26,676 at 31st March 2026. ## **Principal Funding Sources** The principal funding sources are income from investments and voluntary donaXons. ## **Investment Policy** The Trustees’ investment policy is to balance the requirement for a reasonable level of current income with the objecXve of long term growth in capital and income through equity investment. ## **Reserves Policy** It is the Trustees’ policy to maintain the present level of general fund reserves and to distribute the charity’s net income as appropriate. The Trustees declare that they have approved the Report of the Trustees above. INVESTMENTS** M&G Charibond investments were disconXnued by M&G Investments during the year and the units were transferred to M&G Charifund. ## **5. TRUSTEES** No remuneraXon or expenses were paid to the trustees during the year. 6 ## **GREGOR AWARD TRUST YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 2026** ## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES** I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31st March 2026 which are set out on pages 4 to 6. ## **RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER** The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparaXon of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the ChariXes and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the ChariXes Accounts (Scotland) RegulaXons 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of RegulaXon 10(1)(d) of the Accounts RegulaXons does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under secXon 44(1)(c) of the Act and to state whether parXcular majers have come to my ajenXon. ## **BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S STATEMENT** My examinaXon is carried out in accordance with RegulaXon 11 of the ChariXes Accounts (Scotland) RegulaXons 2006 (as amended). An examinaXon includes a review of the accounXng records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideraXon of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanaXons from the trustees concerning any such majers. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts. ## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S STATEMENT** In the course of my examinaXon, no majer has come to my ajenXon 1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements - to keep accounXng records in accordance with SecXon 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and RegulaXon 4 of the 2006 RegulaXons, and - to prepare accounts which accord with the accounXng records and comply with RegulaXon 9 of the 2006 Accounts RegulaXons have not been met, or 2. to which, in my opinion, ajenXon should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. ## _**David Terms**_ DAVID J TERMS Chartered Accountant 1 Grange Court Gullane EH31 2FA 13 July 2026 7
