Structure, Governance and Management
Governing Doeument
The Church is administered in accordance with the ternis of the Model Deed of Constitution.
Reeruitment and Appointment of Trustees
Members of the Kirk Session and th¢ Congregational Board are the charity trustees.
The Kirk Session members are the elders of the church and are chosen from those members of the
church who are considered to have the appropriate gifts and skills.
The minister, who is a member of the Kirk Session, is elected by the congregation and inducted by
Presbytery.
The Congregational Board is appointed from within the congregation and members of the
congregation are invited to nominate individuals who are believed to have the skills and commitment
to contribute to the management affairs of the Church, to become members of the Board.
Board Members are then appointed at the Stated Annual Meeting and serve for a period of three years
after which they must seek re-election at the next Stated Annwdl Meeting.
Organisational Structure
The Congregational Board is chaired by th¢ minister and meets 10 times in a year. Certain
responsibilities are delegated to the Finance Committee and the Fundraising and Social Committee.
The Kirk Sessioi) which meets ten times a year is responsible for spiritual and pastoral affairs withiii
the church.
Objectives and Activities
The Church of Scotland is Trinitarian in doctrine, Refom)ed in tradition and Presbyterian in polity.
It exists to glorify God and to work for the advancement of Christ's Kingdom throughout the world.
As a national Church, it acknowledges a distinctive call and duty to bring the ordinances of religion to
the people in cvery parish of Scotland through a t¢rritorial ministy.
It Co-operates with othei Churches in various eLumeniLal bodies in Scotland and beyond.
Sunday morning worship, at l 1.15am, sccs an average attendance of 35, with 2 - 3 children, with
more attending 'special' services such as Easter and Christingle.
Ladywell Ladies, Group meets fortnightly. The Thursday Coffee Morning takes place weekly.
Saturday Coffe¢ Mornings take place monthly. A new group, Crafternoon Chat Group, meets
fortnightly and is attracting an average of 12 ladies.
l-. xtcrnal groups using our halls includc Tac Kwon Do, Karat¢, Clubbcrcisc, Bootl¢ggers Line
Dancers and Laura CJray School of Dance.
Fundraising and Social events have included Coffee Mornings, Summer F¢t¢, Christmas Fayre,
Afternoon Tea, Games Nights, Snowman and Beetle Drives.

Most of the oth¢r wtlays were subjeot to Inflation￿ increases apart from th¢ Mini&rie5 and Missions Allocation, ththich inctra5ed by
Oyerall Income exceeded Expenditure by £3.340 this year, thanks to the hard work and generosity of the Congregation.

'Th¢ charity's tNstees are r¢sponsibl¢ for th¢ preparati(m of the accounts in accordance with th¢ t¢rnis of
the Charities and Tnistee Investsnenl (Scotland} Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts {Scotl2nd)
Regulations 2006.
The charity trustees consider that the auth't requirement of Regyulation 10(1 ) (d) of the Accounls
Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibilily to exanine the accounts as required under section 44(1)
(c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to iny attention.
Basis of independent examiner's statement
My examination is carried out in a¢cordanc¢ with R¢gulation I l of th¢ Charities Accounts (Scotland)
Regulations 2006. An examination includes a reNiew of the accountsngy records kept b), tlie charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented ivitii thos¢ records. It also includes consideralion of any wiusual
