We encourage other writers by running the biennial Neil Gunn Writing Competition with sections for both school children in Highland and adults living anywhere. We maintain the monument to help keep alive the memory of Neil Gunn. We organise the Neil Gunn Lecture. We maintain a website and Facebook page with information for anyone interested in Neil Gunn.

Objectives: The main charitable objects for which The Trust is established are: a) to maintain and enhance the Neil M. Gunn Memorial Viewpoint, situated on the Heights of Brae, Strathpeffer. b) to promote knowledge of the writings of Neil Miller Gunn. c) to encourage artistic expression in the Highlands of Scotland.
