Objectives: After payment of the whole expenses of administering and executing the Trust hereby created the free annual income from the Trust Funds shall, in the sole and unfettered discretion of the Trustees, be paid, disbursed, or applied by them in such amounts, at such times, and on such terms and conditions as they may decide, to Infirmaries, Hospitals, Homes for Incurables or the Aged, Convalescent Homes, Orphanages and other Institutions, Associations, Societies or Funds in Scotland, having for their object the relief, succour or improvement in any way, directly or indirectly, of the poor, sick, aged, indigent, sick and infirm and/or for the direct help and relief of any aged, infirm, indigent, blind, poor, impoverished, distressed or sick person or persons. And I recommend but without imposing any binding obligation, the Trustees where and when possible to give preference to the claims and needs of institutions or persons domiciled in the City of Glasgow.
