**What the charity does:** The church provides Sunday Christian services at Castle Douglas,Kirkpatrick Durham and Auchencairn churches. It reaches out to the 3 town/village communities and also to all communities within10-15 miles of the main church in the market town of Castle Douglas. The Churches/CD church hall are used by numerous local clubs/groups-such as Yoga,Pilates,Pickleball,Bridge,Chess,Rumikub,U3A,SWI,Young Womens Group,mens Breakfast Club,SWI- as well as Citizens Advice Bureau,Blood Transfusion Service etc The church engages with the local schools and primary school end of term events held and children provide paintings for Christmas Festival of Trees held each year. The CD civic week quiz is held annually in the church . The church assists Christian Aid week,sells Fairtrade goods and donates wherever possible to 1 or 2 selected charities each year. The churches/CD hall facilities are open to all ages and all people who ask to use them.
