Chairs Report

We currently have 23 children on the playgroup register. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions and building works beside the forest we have been unable to run a Friday afternoon forest school session this year.

Staffing has remained the same throughout the year. We are however losing both and by the end of this term.

It has been difficult to complete training in the past year but we did manage to get our first aid renewal done on Saturday socially distanced outside! Hopefully as rules relax a little we will be able to get some more training completed. We are constantly reading and updating our knowledge online.

We haven’t been able to have a parent duty rota this year but hope to reintroduce this again soon.

Once again we have had a fantastic committee in place. Thanks very much ladies, we do appreciate you all!

We have covered lots of different areas of interest with the children and also spent long periods of time outdoors. The staff are constantly discussing the session plans and activities for the children. We had hoped to have an end of term party with all the children and parents but unfortunately again this cannot happen. We will instead do some nice things in the last week of term.

We have not been able to do any fundraising this year because of COVID and so we hope next year’s community will be able to do that.

We did however get a COVID grant from the government and a donation from Total.

Regards

NB: Playgroup closed as of 31[st] March 2022.
