The Council's and Ex￿Orar Scouts's Trustees are responsible for the preparallon of th8 8ccount5 in acrJ)rdance with the
Charilies and Trust8e Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 ("the Act) and Ihe Charities Accounts {Scotland) Regulations 2006
("thè Regulations"). The Councll's, Expk)rer Scouts, and Gang Shows TnJsle85 consider that the audit requirement of
Regulatlon 10(1)(d) does not apply. 11 Is my responsibility to examine the acGounts as required under section 44(1)(c) of
the Act and to stale whether particular matters have come to rny attentlon.
Basls of Independent Examlnerfs Statsment
My examination is carried out in accordance with the Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting
records kept by the Council and a comparison of the accounts presented Kryth those records. It also includes
consideretion of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations frorn the Trustees concerning
any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not providp all Ihe evidence that would be required in an audit and
consequenuy I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examlnerfs Statement
In connectlon wlth my exarnlnation, no matt8r has corne to my attentlon:.
(1) whlch glves me reasonable cause to bellgve that in any material respect, the Trquirement8

## **District Lead Volunteer report for Stirling and Trossachs Scout District 2024-2025**

Another full and successful year from our volunteers and members included many notable achievements.

The highlight of the year was the 2025 Gang Show under the lead of . All the audiences and participants raved about it, as did Scottish Headquarters who revalidated our show license with a glowing scorecard. Scott also got deserved tribute and his Silver Wolf presented backstage from the high powered visiting delegation. Well done the cast.

We completed Transformation, ending with all key roles filled but with plenty of vacant opportunities for joining the new teams. A special deserved thanks goes to for steering us all through the implementation. All volunteers should note the new (and repeat) mandatory learning modules timing enforcement, but we do achieve excellent compliance. Meanwhile the People Development Team have been very active arranging for the new Welcome meetings, working through the heavy load of First Aid event challenges, and the launch of visits to sections to hear members’ needs and views.

Mark and helpers delivered another full year programme of District sectional and watersports events, including a very large District camp at Barrwood, and especially supported the District Explorer events. This section held some great night away events including a shared weekend at Lochgoilhead and at Invertrossachs on land and water. Unfortunately the 2025 adult volunteer Development day event was cancelled and we hope for more support for an event in 2026. Special thanks to Network section for arranging a transition event with Explorers, and their lead who also submitted his King Scout Award completion.

Invertrossachs campsite made significant progress in land management including in respect of enforced estate tree felling activities. The new archery range in memory of Alasdair was commissioned, woodland craft areas are being finished, the access to the west campsite rerouted, and the adventure trail for cubs remodeled. Other building projects continue as resource and skills allow. There were many local Scouting users, often Group camps, as well as out-of-District and International summer users, and other community and school groups, widely for Duke of Edinburgh and from Raploch primary school. We salute the rescue by of a member of the public in trouble on a paddleboard on Loch Venacher.

The District Groups achieved great things again, often with notable Group camps. Special mention goes to Balfron who had a great year in all section programmes and whose older youth members and leaders stepped up to restart the Endrick Explorer Scout Unit.
