The Edinburgh Trades Fund is a charity managed by The Incorporated Trades of Edinburgh. Small grants are available for children and young people aged 21 and below who require financial assistance for education, ill-health or family need, and/or charities which support such individuals within the City of Edinburgh. Beneficiaries: 'Children or young people'
Objectives: All property, both heritable and movable vested in the Governors at the commencement of this Order or acquired or donated to them thereafter shall vest in them and shall constitute a fund, to be called the 'Edinburgh Trades Fund ' for (a] making provision as hereinafter provided for children and young people aged 21 and below under and in terms of the constitution and rules affecting the fund for the time being. and (b) for the benefit of the public, advancing heritage and good citizenship by preserving the good and agreeable traditions and historic property of the fund and its roots in the Incorporated Trades and Convenery of Trades of Edinburgh and making the same available to the public.2 Notwithstanding anything in the Act of 1707, the Governors may apply any moneys forming part of the fund in payments or grants to persons qualified in accordance with the provisions of this Order. The persons to whom payments or grants may be made by the Governors in pursuance of the preceding section of this Order shall be children and young people aged 21 and below under and in terms or the constitution and rules affecting the fund for the time being who, in the opinion of the Governors, require financial assistance in respect of or in connection with:- (1) education. (2) ill-health. or (3) family need. and/or (4) charities which support such individuals who apply or on whose behalf application is made therefor to the Governors. charities which support such individuals who apply or on whose behalf application is made therefor to the Governors.
