This year has been one of adjustments as we contsnue to come out of lockdown measures and see what Is possible within church life and our work in the o)mmLJnity We have managed to have weekly services in the t*uilding thr(ghOut the year and gradualty improved our live streaming capabilities so that those who cannot manage along lo the building can still join wrth us. The daity emails which began al the start of the pandemic have Continued. though slreamlined down lo daily thoughts and prayer points wth a church news secbon on a Sunday but conbnue to provide conknnvty in these changing times. The Quay droFHn for the homeless has ¢(mbnued throughout the year as a tskeaway seryKe from the front doors of the church with the average number attending being in the mid-20's. The Pop Up Cafe has also mel weekty in the church, wrth Similar numbets, and has provided an important scaal activty for many vulnerable and k)nety peop in the community. A bwJ development in Church lrfe during the year has been through offering support and help to seekers of asylum who were being accommodated in a hotel near the church. This has involved hostsng events to find out what the needs of these gentlemen are (language classes, clothing, leisure actNibes, digitsl connectNity, elcl. We have started English dasses for Sorr of them, invofved othets in weekty football games, provKled clothing, phones and (x)mpuiers.
Summary of th¢ rnain achievements of the charity during the financial period Our minister continues as chaplain to the stsff and clients of Aberdeen Foyer, an organisation providing a variety of support services to around 80 staff and 250 vulnerable people at any one time within the area. He is the honorary Bapkn"st Chaplain for the UnNersity of Aberdeen. continue to give Signrfant finanual support to BMS World Mission and support the Anurag Ministy of the Maharashtra Bapts'st Society in Mumbai, India, in work with orphans and street Children. The church remains affilted to the'Dnity" project established by BMS World Mission which seeks to create awareness of the problems of gender based violence at home and abroad and idenlsfy ways of addressing this. We have also continued to support the work of Stella's Voice and some other Ial and global misgon and ministy initsatives We actively promote wider use of our premises where this might be of interest or assistance to the community at large. In the year under review, the Aberdeen Chinese Church have continued to hold weekly services in the building and other organisabons, including global Language Services, hav8 returned to using the premises. The income of the ¢hur¢h has been maintained at a level con51Stent with recent years. There are no concerns over the financial sustsinability of the church as a chanty and the Trustees Consider il appropriate lo adopt the going concern basis for Ihe finanual statements.
