Recruitm nt and Appointment of Trustees Members pf the Kirk Session are the charity trustees. The Kirk Session members are the Trustqes of the church and are chosen from those members of the church who are considered to have the appropriate gifts and skills. The minister, who is a member of the Kirk Session, is elected by the congregation and inducted by Presbytery. An Interim Moderator is a minister appointed by Presbytery to oversee the Kirk Session and Cong￿gatIon during a vacancy.

Organis*ional Structure The Kirk ession met 12 times last year, is responsible for financial and spiritual affairs within the1 church. Objectiv s and Activities The Chulch of Scotland is Trinitarian in doctrine. reformed in tradition and Presbyte an in policy. It exists to glorify God and to work for the advancement of Christ's ngdom throughout the world. As the national Church, it acknowledges a distinctive call and duty to bring the ordinances of religion to the people in every parish of Scotland through a territorial ministry. It co-operates with other Churches in various ecumenicpl bodies in Scotland and beyond. Services of worship are held every Sunday morning and include the Sacrament of Holy cOrr￿Union at morning and evening worship on the first Sunday of every month. There is Bible Class on Sunday Morning also . There is an informal Midweek Reflectio service on Thursday mornings. The Sunday School, called The Sonhouse, meets du ing worship times and is for children between the ages of 3 and 11 years there are,18 children attending also there is a bible class of 4 which meets during worship for 12-15 year olds also Youth Fellowship of 8 16- 20 years old. There is a crèche for children up to the age of 3 years. The church has a Gulld which meet weekly during the session, There is also a Girls Brigade Company with 17 young girls. The Kirk Session actively encourages the use of the church pr mises as a community facility. This Year there was. community cafe and Alzheime Scotland Recycled Teenagers Crochet Club Breast feeding group as well asanum er ofAlcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon groups Gamblers Anonymous and Citizens ￿vICe. Achievenpents and Performance There ard 229 members on the Congregational Roll as at 31 December 2024. Altendan(Ès at Sunday morning services are normally around 50 - 75 adults and 20 young people. The Kirk ession has continued with its team approach and has teams of Elders and Congregational members with specific remils for Worship. Children and Young People, P storal Care. Mission, Outreach, Property, Prayer and Welcome.

Stateme4t of Trustees. Responsibilities The me bers of the Kirk Session must prepare financial statements which give sufficient tjetail to enable an appreciation of the transactions of the Church during the financial year. The members of the Kirk Session are responsible for keeping proper accountin records which, on request, must reflect the financial position of the Church at that ti e. This must be done to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charilies and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl Regulations 2006 and the Regulations Anent Congregational Finance approved by the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 2007. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Church and musl take reasonable steps for the pr vention andlor detection of fraud and other irregularities. Respectlvo responsibllltles of trustees and examiner The charitls trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of t Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charitses Accounts (Scotland) egulations 2006. The charit Regulation 44(1) (c) of trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts does not apply. It is my resFonsibility to examine the accounts as required under section he Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
