benefit of the communty and patients to the health cenlre.
A Dementia Sock91 Group {Frienés Wednesday Club} was estsblished aThJ

Achievements and perfomiance

Summary of the main achievements of We hosted another successfvl Strawbery Fair, providing entertainment
the charlty during the financlal period
and a fantastic atrnosphere for the village. 11 a￿ayS Lyings members of
the communty out in droves- of all ages- and is a fantastic day. This
year were delight￿ to raise almost £15.0￿ on the day.
We also hosted a vintage vehicje rally whith is now a staple in the annual
calendar and parti￿lartY enjoyed by older members of the Community,
while providing for all the family.
Biggest achievemenl of the year has lo be the establlshment of the
Friends Wednesday Club- a support group for people with dementia and
Iheir carers. The club has been exlremdy popuLqr and offers fun and
slimulatiryJ socialisation and activltses for Its members. We hope lo grow
Ihe dub further as limes goes on.
11 has been anolher frustrating year with r&3*ds to our campaign to
reopen Irtsch Hosmal and relum much needed healthcare services lo the
village. We have continued to lobby the government and the partnership
through all avenues available to us, lo no avail. Our next step is to explore
other opt￿nS for the futL*e of the group, and the future of th8 hospital.

on roserves
Overall. Friends reserves have ifKxeased this year by £82k, due to
'. generous legacy receNed and increased fundraising - as well a5 increase
l in value of Thestmenls held.
Although we are actively spending money within the remit of our
conslitulbon, we contir￿e to be hopeful that wè can use the majority of our
funds lo refurbish I replace the current hospital t￿lIdIng, which was d05ed
by the NHS"tenyirarily" in 2020.
