The new revised Constitution recommended by the Scottish Episcopal Church was formally adopted during the year. l. St Finnbarrfs Episcopal Church is a member of the Di0￿e of Moray. Ross and Caithness in full communion with the Anglican Church 2. The Superior authority is the Bishop withln the Diocese 3. The affairs of the Vestry are 8overned by the canon law of the Scottish Episcopal Church. The Vestry members are Charity Trustees of the Church Vestry ftesponsibllltles The responsibilities of the Vestry are to produce annual accounts and records and manage its day to day running and assist the Priest in Charge in carrying out his duties. The Vestry has met on 3 occasions for general buslness during the year Objrftlves & Artlvltles Charltable Purposes The advancement of religion through worshop, prayer,education Service and charitable works. St Flnnbarr'$ Epls¢opal Churth, report for 202314 Achlevements & Perfomance St Finnbarr's SEC continues to play an Important role in the local community providin8 Christian wltness and giving to local or8anisations and groups through fund-raising In Its charlties shop and collections for the Food bank. The church Is served by a priest in charge and an assistant prlest. Regular worship continues and the Eucharist is celebrated every Sunday and on other special occasions. There are currently no regular mid-week services. We continue to celebrate a Season of Creatlon in September with special services and study groups and to hold study 8roups during Advent (Gratitude) and Lent (Galatians). We are Involved in as much ecumenical attivity as possible, including the World Day of Prayer, Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a Walk of Witness on Good Friday and our annual Christin8le and Carol Service. We have been able to continue regular pastoral support over the telephone and visiting. We continue to have a regular monthly newsletter, which is circulated both on paper and via e-mail and a lively and active website which has initiated contact with new people. Sermons continue to be published each week on the website and distributed by email to members of the congregations. Events are also shared using local Social Media pages.

Duringthe year St Finnbarfs had three funerals all of longstsnding members Church members and friends continue to operate St Finnbarr's Charity Shop which is a core part of our Christian mission to the local community, as well as being an essentlal resourte for providing funds for the upkeep and on80ing work of the church itself. Funds raised in the charity shop are also distrlbuted to other local group and organisations. Higher value donated items are sold using online marketplaces or through trade contacts. Our clergy contlnue to be represented on the Domoch Firth Group and the church to be an active member of Domoch and District Community Association (DADCA}. Following activities and special collections, financial contrlbutions were made to Hippokrat la Ukrainian charity) and Tain Foodbank. The Buttons and Bowsjunior accordlon and fiddle group gave a concert in aid of church and group funds. Concluslon The number of members in the cOng￿83tion on Sundays services remains stsble. There continues to be a strong Episcopalian presence in the community in a variety of ways, both through obvlous links like the shop and also through the presence of members of the congregatSon and clergy volunteerin8 in other clubs and organisations. The members of the Vestry would like to thank all those, both members of the con8re8atlon and others, who contribute In so many ways to the ministry of St Finnbarfs. St Finnborfs SEC October2024 Flnan¢lal Revlewl Reserves Pollcv Th Receipts and Payments account show an unrestricted deficit of £ 7,063 for the Churth 12023 £7,038). The Charity shop had another very successful year donating £24,OLK) (2023 £20.000) to local charlties and transferrlng a similar amount to the church resulting in combined unrestricted surplus of £28,160. Payments continue to be mad to the Diocese of Moray, Ross and Caithness in the form of Quota, which together with the Stipend Contribution. which is equivalent to 50% of a standard stipend excluding pension costs amounted to more than £21,000, which The reserves of the vestry are held either as Bank deposits or in SEC unlts. The unrestricted reserves are subjett to 3 3% annual charge by the Diocese towards our annual Quota. If our reserves are exhausted the potential income to both Church and Diocese will be lost with severe consequenw to both. The Vestry are quite clear on our policy of reserves, in order to ensure the future of St Finnbarfs and the Diocese of Moray, Ross and Calthne55.
