**What the charity does:** Our aim is to promote the understanding and conservation of rhododendrons. We provide information on the cultivation and protection of rhododendrons to our members in publications and at meetings. A new venture has been to provide funding for individuals to make trips to study rhododendrons in their native environments e.g. in Himalayas, China etc.

**Beneficiaries:** 'Other charities or voluntary bodies'

**Objectives:** The purpose of the Chapter is the encouragement of the culture of rhododendrons, including azaleas, and the increase of the general understanding of and interest in all aspects of these plants
