Achievements and PerformaDce
We have increased our nUmI￿rS with new mem1￿S joining us and it was a great pleasure to bapti
triplets from one family.
We have started work in renewing a disused part of our garden into what we hope will be a peace
and welcoming area used by church members and the wider community.
Our church has joined the Renfrew Regional Council ate& of Episcopal churches which consists o
eight churches, so we are forging new links with them and we have already
had volunteers to help with our garden project.
We continue to have links with our friends in the G52 group and we will host our Carols by
Candlelight Service as usual.
Next year our work will involve completing church improvements to the building. &s r¢quir¢d by
quinquennial re￿rt.
Financial Review
There was an overall deficit of £679 for the Current financial year Compared to a deficit of £1.¢69
for the previous year. The surplus on unrestricted funds w&s £4.291 (2023 - deficit of £7.19]) Ind
the deficil on r¢strici¢d funds was £4.920 (2023 - surplus of £6.122). Offering and donation inc(nne
decreased by £16. Major repairs were required to the r￿f. ¢l¢ctrics and gard¢n' other it¢m
eX￿ndItUre were similar to the previous year.
The balance of reserves carried forward at the year end is £42.17] being £42.171 on unrestriaed
funds and £nil on restricted funds.
Future plans
Fulure plans include continuing to find best ways to nurture. and encourage the young people and
chAldr¢n and their families who have joined us this year. It is vita] to respond to
their needs and, &s a church community, support and help them develop their own gifts and callin
and questions. 'Discipling' of all members and those 'seeking' is really important to all of at Good
Shepherd. Reswnding to people including requests for Baptism (from Nurs¢ry parent this year. f
instance). needs time and Ca￿ and sensitivity. Relations and
links with the Nursery. and the Community Choir are very imtx)rlant to continue and build on.
The nature of those who join Go(xl Shepherd is that they can be transient (including moving to
another contineni!). It is IM￿rtant to ¢nsur¢ that welcome and inclusion is part of their time in
Scotland. with the optM)rtunity to express their gifts explore and develop their faith. One of Go

Report of the Vestry (eontinued)
The garden PTOjCCt is continuing, steadily. and we are very committed to developing this for the
benefit of everyone - and of the environmenl itseltl.
The young people who recently joined us have been introduced to the Youth Group (Spirit Spark)
based at our sister church, which is now flourishing, and which we are very
committed to continuing Io grow and develop. This includes their joining the annual Provincial
Youth gathering n¢xi Summer if thev wish.
Links with and active parts in local community (and wryder) needs and issues will continue to be
developed throu¥h continuing engagement with ecumenical friends (the very well
established G52 group- ofseven local churches).
Good Shepherd remains a small, bul vigorous communiiy. keen lo be resporLsive to whatever the
coming year brings. and the holy spiril inspires.
Reserves
The Vestry mainlains a reserve fund to be used in the event that there is a shortfall in income in order
to maintain the currenl level of aclivilies.
ststem¢nl of the Vestry Memben, Responsibilitie8
The members of the Vestry must prepare financial sialements which give sufficient detail to enable
an apprecialion of the Church's finances during the year. The members of the Vesiry are res￿nSIble
for keeping prop¢r accounling records which. on request, musl reflect the Cu￿ent financial po%idon
of the Church ai that tim¢. This must be done to ensure that financial staternenls comply with the
Ciwities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Regulalions 2006. They are alg) responsible for
safeguarding the &ssets of the Church and must take r¢asonable steps for the prevention an(*or

PROPERTY TRUSTEE REPORT 2024.
This year has been relatively quiet.
The year began with repairs to the church roof due to storm damage, the
cost being met by our insurance company.
Work on the garden has commenced, with a new 8 foot fence encirclingthe
rear of the ctturch grounds. Landscaping work will begin in spring 2025.
