**Purposes:** &#x27;the advancement of education&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of health&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of citizenship or community development&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of public participation in sport&#x27;,&#x27;the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended&#x27;,&#x27;the promotion of religious or racial harmony&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of environmental protection or improvement&#x27;

**What the charity does:** Maintaining the fabric of the village hall and making it available for hire for local groups, classes, parties.  The major fundraising event is the biennial Glen of Rait Games held in August.

**Beneficiaries:** &#x27;Children or young people&#x27;,&#x27;Older People&#x27;,&#x27;No specific group, or for the benefit of the community&#x27;,&#x27;Other charities or voluntary bodies&#x27;

**Objectives:** (a) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Rait and environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating    the Local Authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the    interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.    (b) to secure the establishment, maintenance and management of a community centre (hereinafter called &#x27;Annat Hall&#x27;)&#x27; for activities promoted by the Association in furtherance of the above objects or any of them. The Association shall be non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion.
