Appointment of Trustees

Trustees are appointed from time to time as the Moodie family may consider appropriate.

Governance

The Trust is governed by a Deed of Trust.

Charitable Purposes

The Trust’s purpose is to support the advancement of charitable, cultural, educational, and other worthwhile causes within the United Kingdom.

Activities

During the year the Trustees made donations totalling £85,000 to 17 registered charities qualifying within the Trust's Charitable Purposes.

Financial Review

During the year the trust's activities resulted in a surplus on income compared to expenditure. No remuneration or expenses were paid to the trustees or connected persons during the year.

During the year the trust received unrestricted cash donations of £121,388.

Reserves Policy

The trustees maintain a positive surplus which varies from year to year at levels which they deem appropriate.

Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of the Moodie Charitable Trust

| report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31St March 2025, which are set out on pages 3&4.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1)(d) of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. Therefore, it is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1)(c) of the 2005 Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of independent examiner’s statement

My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Regulations. My examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence which would be required in an audit and, consequently, | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

Independent examiner’s statement

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:

2. e to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and

3. e to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations

have not been met,

1. or to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
