The govemirMJ document is the Constiiution of the Trinty Church dated 2012. Hoty Trinty
Episcopal Church Dunoon is a church of the Scottish Episccf)al Church and is in full ccKnmunion with
the Anglican Church and the Poryoo Communion.
Hoty Trinty Dunoon is also in a financ￿1 'linked charge. arrangement (with a Memorandum of
Agreement dated June 2010) with St Pauls Ep￿1 Church Rothesay. This is reviewed and the
amounts amended annualty

Monthty breakfast fellowsh￿ has been by M￿berS of the wregatI(￿ and continues to be well

relationships betvften the thurches of Cowal. This year saw another $u¢eessful "Haven" a tea tent at
the Cowal Gathering. run and supported by the churches of the area. Membern of Hoty Trinty were
part of the organizing team and volunteered their time durirwJ a very wet Cowal Gamesl We are
gratefvl for the regular prayerful support of members of other thurches who woTrhip with us on a
regular basis.
During 2024 Holy Trinty Church Teestablished quarterty Episcopal services in Kyle8 Parish Church in
Kames, by kn.nd invilation of the Minister aThJ ￿rk Session. Thss f￿lOw$ on from the w0￿h{p of St
Martin's Church, a dependent congregation of Holy Trinty Dunoon. which met in Kyles Church until
around 2013.
Members of the congregatK)n have initiated a new outreach to Primary Schools, as part of an
ecumenical team. Church volunteers enact the "Open the Book" Bible stories from the Bible Society.
which are spe￿alty written for Primary School Children, as part of the schools. RME curriculum
provision. Currently the team visits 4 Primary across Cowal. visiting each aLx)ut 4 tsmes per
year. Meanwhile church rrErnbers a150 took part in the "Exper￿￿ Christmas" outreach to the S1
class at Dun¢J)n Grammar SchcM)l.
Fabric
The Lond Project has continued to progress duriThJ this financkil year. FollowiThJ su￿$$fvI planning
approval. a Buikling Wafrant was approved. and the Vesty has appointed an Archrtect and Buikling
Contractor to ffjnMen￿ work on the church extensM)n to 1K￿Se the accessible toilet facilty.
Fundraising ha5 continued, including a wonderful cOn￿rt by "8+1" and the Reclorfs sponsored
autumn half rnarathons. We will need to continue to fundraise for this prOj￿t alOngs￿e grant
applications lin pr(NJfess}.
Holy Tnnity has been successful in receiving a grant from the Benefact Trust to enable us to install
Solar Energy Panels and Battery Storage, aloNJside a new Infrar￿1 Heating System wilhin our church.
This work will be commission￿1 as soon as possible. probabty in two stageg across the next 6 months.
The Benefact Trust are working with the S(yJttish Episcopal Church to support the aims of the Net
Zero aims as agFeed at General Synthj.
The main thutch driveway ha5 been extensivety repaired with new drainage instsllation, offering a
safer and smc¥Jthef entran￿ to Ihe d)urch grounds.
Following the sale of the fom*r Redory at 55 ￿.1brKle Rd, Hoty Trinivs share of the proceeds of the
purchase continues to serve us well as investment income. A subgroup has been establr5hed to WOFk
alongside the Vestnes of Hoty Trinty and St Paul's to plan for a Fermanent Rectory.
The Vestry commissioned a speaalist survey of the Church Tower, this was primarily to obtain a
speualist report to enable the Vestry to c(msult wrth the (ongregation on f¥Jture wor1< for essential
repairs. This consultation will commence during 2025r26.
General repair and Maintenan￿ of ￿ build￿9 and grourKls continues throughout the year, with
speual thanks for the many volunteers who have hel￿ at this summe¢s gardening days.

Financlal revlew
Policy on ReseNes
The Trustees intend that the reserves which are held as inveslments should be retained in order that
the work of the thurch may be continued. The reserves are broadty split into inveslmentsibonds and
the bank balanee. The Vestry decides on the best thation for the reserves based on interest and
investrnent ri5k5. Good practice is to ensure that cash in the Charit￿$ accounts 1$ $lrfr￿ient to keep the
accounts sofvent during the yearfs activities.
Risk Management
The Church has a comprehensive in$uran¢e polry with the Eccl8siastical Insurance Company who
specialise in Church Insurance. The values are updated each year by the company in line with
their experience, ar#J in line with requirements, have updated wr ele¢tri¢al inspe¢tion certificate,
and séNieed the fire extinguishers, and the r￿￿Sary remed￿1 vAJrk to the l￿htni￿j conductors has
been compbled.
The Church bulldings are Surveyed every five year8 to establish any necessary work. The la8t
in$pe¢tion was in 2021 and we will continue (afry Out quinquennkgl insped￿lS to timetable.

In the coming year we seek to Lxintinue to develop the congregation and communty of the church",
continuing to be a welcoming. worshippirrfJ CAThmunty. c£)mmbtted to swal justice and serve the
needs of all Gcd'¥ people.
Alongside the buildiry proiecl. solar panels and heatiw inslallatK*n. we will eonsull wtth the
congregation on how to best develop the land gifted to the ¢hur¢h. We will ¢onUnue to ¥eek financial
support for the To1￿1 Project through further grants and fvndrai$ing. and we will develop a sound
business plan for the rest of the projed- including ts buikling or purthase of ts new Rectory.
All these projects and plans are with the dl$tin¢t alm of developlng our ¢hurch buikling and grounds as
a space for mission arKI ministy to the wider community.
Building on the wonderful support of the church C￿MUnty, aim to balance the accounts once
again this coming year.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the lemis
of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scolland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scollar￿)

The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and
