**What the charity does:** The Scout Group is constituted in terms of the Rules of The Scout Association, which is a charitable body incorporated by Royal Charter. The Group is a recognised Scottish Charity – No SC 007853, is unincorporated and a non-profit distributing organisation which means that any surplus income is re-invested within the organisation to allow it to continue. The purpose of the Scout Association is to actively engage and support Young People in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. The Values of Scouting are implicit in the values of Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief and Co-operation. The Scout Method takes place when Young People, in partnership with adults, work together based on the above Values and take advantage to enjoy, take part, learn, share, take responsibility, undertake new and challenging activities, and make and live by their Promise.
