The Free Church of Scoiland ell￿ntlY has over IIX) congre￿tio￿5 tn Scotland, as well as in London
and four in North Amcrica, and sister Chur¢h¢s founded by mI￿10n work in India, Pcru and South .4frica.

Trustees and Office Bearer5
The rongrcgalion is governed and adrninistered by elected otyice bearers (all volunteers) and its minister.
The Kirk Session, ￿Ing the minist¢r and elected elders. has responsibility for spiritual oversight. while tbe
Deacons, Court. COtntK)sed of Kirk Session meM￿rS plus elected deacons. oversees f]nancial and propety
matters. Under Charity Law. the Deacons. Court are deemed to be the trusiees of congregation as those
with responsibilty for day to day management and control. This is distinct frotn the role of PT0￿rty
(congregational) trustees who are responsible (mly for holdiTJg propety in trust.

The Kirk Session exercises its di5CTeiion in detemiining the most appropriatc method of electing new
Trustees (Elders. De2eons and Cornmittee Members). An>" election process must involve the Communicant
membership of the Congregation. There 1> no fixed tenn for Trusteeship. Prior to their gptx)intrnent. new
Trustees would Se￿ed the Chureh for some tim¢ irt various roles and would be familiar with the
Church's values. its aims and objectives as well as its day-tO-da> operations. As part of their induction
progrnmmc, n¢w T￿￿t¢¢3 ￿qUired to understand their sta￿lOry respotksibilities as well as the
r¢spoiisibilities of their otTRce within thc congrcgatson as ¢ld¢r or d¢acon.

The congregation contsnued its conlltutsn¢nt to suppon the National Free Church of Scotland both
spiritually and fmancially.

During 2024 our Church builthngs were open for the full year. We continued to Livestream our se￿ices
(and Zoom some Pra)'er Meetings) during Ihe year to bling the Gospel to our own folks and also to &
worldwide &udien¢¢ through our YouTube Channel. Other activities included:

The women of the congregation contributing an annual total in April of £525ry for the IVFM fund.
Bite & Blether coffee mornings rdising £800 which will be donated to The Mission to Seafarers.
We used £51.000 from the Fabric fiJn￿ for a variety of PTojects. but to offset some of these cosls
w¢ raised £12.700 in specifie "appeal" donations and £9.56Q from grant an)lications.

Resultsfor iheyeor
As a result of a deficit for the yeai of (£4 76)) the Church held unrestricted funds amounting to £24,136 at
the year end. That consisted of a General Fund amountin8 to £1,976 and Designated Funds a baltsn¢e
of £22.160. Restricted Fund& totalling £30,565 We￿ also held in addition to Endowment fiwds of £10,000.
The tntstees ate satisfied with the l¢vel of reserves retained by the charity.
