The Charity’s objectives are as follows: ? To give women confidence to take an active role in the local and wider community and to address the social isolation faced by women ? To offer services and activities to improve the well-being of women ? To raise awareness of women’s health issues, establishing advice, support and counselling ? To offer advice and support to women facing financial insecurity ? To offer advice and support to women experiencing domestic abuse ? To offer holistic therapies ? To offer advice, support and educational opportunities to all mothers of young children ? To work with other services and organisations to provide services tailored to the needs of women in the community North West Women’s Centre is Scotland’s first and Glasgow’s only purpose built women’s centre and has been established for 30 years. It offers facilities and services which enable women to become fully involved in community life

Beneficiaries: 'Other defined groups'

Objectives: The objects are specifically restricted to provide for the advancement of education and to provide recreational facilities and the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life of women and girls within the Maryhill corridor area and surrounding districts in Glasgow, regardless of race, religion, sexuality or disability by working with Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and women and girls in a common effort.
