Leith School of Art aims to provide an art education that emphasises the whole person, in curriculum and pastoral care. Since its foundation Leith School of Art is committed to providing a distinctive range of art education opportunities to all, regardless of background and financial means. Leith School of Art’s charitable aims are centred on its commitment to making art accessible to all, by offering bursaries and concessionary places across our courses. In pursuit of its artistic aims Leith School of Art offers a full-time year-long Foundation Course, a structured Graduate Residency scheme, a Schools Programme for students in local schools and a wide range of other year-long courses as well as short courses, weekend workshops and summer school.

Objectives: (a) To set up and carry on schools at or by means of which students may obtain education and instruction and particularly in or with regard to art, architecture, drawing, designing, painting, sculpture and all other subjects whatever that may be conducive to the knowledge of or skill in any trade, pursuit or calling and do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the carrying on of such an establishments. and (b) to provide schools and all necesssaries and conveniences for or to students, teachers, lecturers, employees and officers temporarily or otherwise by the Company, and to afford them facilities for study, research, cultivation, teaching and performance of the tasks and duties allotted to them respectively.
