Annual Committee Review
Our extremely dedicated staff have enabled our pre-school to have another excellent year. Their years of experience have enabled a safe, fun and nurturing environment for our local children to grow and learn.
We are continuing to work well with the Primary School on the same site to provide lunches for the children. We are also continuing to work with the school to provide the children with a thorough transition process to ensure they are ready for the move to Primary School. It is important to let the children get used to their new surroundings and it is great to see them getting more comfortable and excited about the move to the Primary School.
Being based in a rural area, we are ristricted to the numbers of children we will recieve to the numbers in the local area, which can vary year to year. We are pleased that our numbers at present mean we are almost at capacity. Being a small Pre-School, the difference in numbers of children can have a big impact in in our ability to meet our costs and our security for the future.
Our nursery continues to strive and be an important part of our community and we hope this continues for many years to come.
Treasurer's Report
The pre-school continues to be financially viable and we are constantly working with the staff and other parents to ensure this continues.
Numbers of children who attend will always be an area of focus, as this can change drastically from year to year, but we are continuing to work hard to ensure all local parents are aware of the facilities on offer and the age that their children can attend and be funded.
This year, we have not done as much fundraising, and we can see how important it is. Fundraising continues to be at the forefront of our plans. We have ongoing ideas and plans for raising extra funds for new facilities.
We have a redundancy fund in place, which we review annually, and we feel that we are still in a good place to continue the pre-school.
