The Trustees present their annual report and financial ststements for the year ended 31 March 2026.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordanc£ with the accountsng poliaes set out in note 1 to the

spiritual wemare of the church members.
At the end of the financial year Ihe church had a membership of 302. Sunday moming services, Sunday
evening seryices. and a midweek Wednesday midday Se￿iCe. took place during the year at the church's
Greenfam Road lo¢stion. the ¢hur¢h ¢ontinuing lo record, and m8k• available on4intr, its Sunday morning
services, hoste¢J on its YouTube channel.
Regular events continued at the church's Mai¢Jenhill location, the regular, weekly, Sunday momlng setvlces
continuing Ihroughoul the year, and reflecting Ihe church's-one church. locations. structure.
The church appointed Rachel Clark as Pastoral Lead for Children, Yovng People, and Families, in February
2028. adding lo ils ministry staff.
Use ol Ihe church's social Media plafforms. speryfi¢aly F8rAbook. Instagram, YouTube. and X lo
¢ommuniGate with members. ¢onlinued during the year.
The regular church member meetings were held.
House, and other Small, Groups met for Bible study. prayer and fellowship.

It is the policy of the church to mainlain Unrestricted Funds, i.e. funds not commrtled or invested in fixed assets, at a
level which equates to approximalety Ihree months of commrted unrestricted expenditure. This allows sufficient
fund3 to enable the ongoing commrtled work ol the church to be main¢ained. Per the Statement of Finanrial
Activities. the church's Unreslricled Funds at 31 March 2026 amwnted to £1.107.301 of which the Trustee5 have
designated £1.098.721 85 detailed in note 22. thereby le8ving the thurch wrth tree reserves of £8.580 12025
£49,251) which atthough the year-end General Fund balance is, therefore, lower (under £10,0001, the Un￿striCted
free reserves, and importantly unrestncted free ieserves in cash, are both very high which was acceptable to the
Trustees.

1.1 Accounting convention
The financial statements havè beèn prepared in accordance with thè charity's goveming document, the
Charities and Trustee Investment Iscoljandl Act 2005, the Charrties Accounts Iseotlandl Regulations 2006,
FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland. and the Charities
SORP "Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounls in accordance the Financial Reports'ng Standard applicabse in the UK and
Republic ol Irel8nd IFRS 1021" The charity is a Public Beneffit Enlity as defined by FRS 102.
The chadty has taken advanlage ol the provisions in the SORP lor charibes not to prepare a statement of
cash flows.
The financial statements are prepared in steding. which is the funcb'onal oJThenry of the charity. Monetary
arnounts in these financial statements are rounded lo the nearest £.

Trustees continue to adopt the going concem basis of accountin9 in preparing Ihe finanaal statements.

Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees in furtheran￿ of their charitable
objective8.
Designated funds comprise lunds which have been set aside at the disc￿10Th of the Trustees lor specific
purposes. The purposes and uses of the designated fijnds a￿ set out in the notes to Ihe financial statement5.
Restricted funds are subject to specffic condiityjns by donors or grantors as to how they may be used. The
purposes and uses ol the restricted lunds are set out in the notes to the finanaal statements.

Income is recognised when the tharity is legalty enlitled to it after any performance condilions have been rnel.

Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Other donalions are recognised once the charty has been noty'fied

Income tax recoverable on Grft Aid donations is recognised when the respective donation has been
recognised and the ￿coVerable amount ol income tax can be measured reliably", this is normally when the
donor has completed the relevant Grft Aid declarabon form. Income tax recoverable on Grfi Aid donations is
allocated to the same Fund as the respective donalson unless speafied by the donoi.

Interest on funds held on deposrt is Indudetl when receNable and the amount can b8 measured rellably by the
charity., this is normally upon notification of Ihe inlerest paid or payable by the bank.

Grants payable are made to third parties in the fvrtherance of the charrtable objects. The award of a granl is
recognised as a liability onty when the criteria for a conStruct￿e obligation are met. payment is probable, it can
be measured reliably and there are no condrtions attaching to its payment that limrt recognition.

The Church is a partiCApating employer ihe Baptist Pension Schemellhe Scheme'l, which is a separate legal
entity administered by the Pension Twstee IBapt15t Pension Trust Limrtedl. The Scheme. previously known
as the Bapt15t Ministers Pension Fund. 5t8rted in 1925. M the beginning of the finanryal year. the scheme
comprised of a defined beneffts scheme whth wa5 closed to luture accwal on 31 December 2011 and
defined contribution plan which was opened in January 2012. The assets of the Scheme are held separate
from those of the Employer and the other part￿1PatIng employers.
For the current financial year. the pension prowsion for members of the Scheme is being made through the
Defined Contribution IDCI Plan. In gener81. members pay 8°/0 of their Pensionable Income and employers pay
6°h ol membèrs. Pensitsn8ble In¢ome into individual pension accounts, which arè operated and managed on
behaN ol the Pension Trustee by 8roadstone Corporate Benèfits Ltd. In addition, the empltsyer pays a lurthei
4tsh of Pensionable Income to cover Death in serv￿ Benefits. administration costs, and an associated
insurance poliw which provides income protection for Scheme members if they are unable lo work due lo
long-term incapacity. This income proteclion polry has been insured by the Baptist Union of Great 8ritain with
Aviva Lirnited. Furthemiore. members ol the Bas￿ Seclion pay ￿dUCed contributions of 5¥¢ of Pensionable
Incorne, 8nd their employers al80 pay a total of 5%.
In October 2024, the Insurance company Just Group completed a buy out of the liabilrties ol the closed
defined benefbt scheme. From thal dale any remaining liability of Ihe partiapats.ng scheme members to defined
benefit scheme ceased and the £1 per nwjnlh defiul contributions payable by the participating employers
which were agreed in the recovery plan approved in August 2022 also ceased from that date. Administration
of the closed defined benefit Scheme transfe￿e￿ from Ihe pension trustees lo Just Group from that date.
Mov•m*nt In Bal4n¢* Sho¢t11oblllty
Section 28.11A of FRS 102 requires agreed deficit recovery payments to be recognlsed as a Ilabllity. The
present value of the agree¢J deficit contributions were immaterial at the beginning of the financial year and
